Y/N's POV

I was sitting at a table with my friends from other KPOP Groups: Rose from BLACKPINK, Jimin from BTS, and Ryeowook from Super Junior. I kept looking over at the table that seats BTS. I noticed that Jungkook was looking over at me every so often.

"Hey," I feel hands on my shoulders. "Maybe you should take Jungkook up on that dancing offer."

"And you're fine with your fiancé dancing with her ex-boyfriend?" I look at Mark, giving him a weird look.

"Listen, I'm going to leave early. I have... something to do." He looked nervous about something.

"Which is what? You promised you would spend time with me tonight. I've been waiting for you for about two hours!" I stand up, feeling hurt.

"I work, too! Oh, my God. I can't believe you right now, Y/N." He rubs his temples.

"Whatever do you mean? What have I done?" I cross my arms.

"Just forget it," He snaps, kissing my cheek. "Love you. Bye."

He walks away, heading towards the door. He doesn't even look back. I didn't even want him to look back at me. He and his group were off tonight for this event. I don't see what else he has to do. This doesn't make sense.

I walk over towards Jungkook, then stop. He looks up at me, getting up. He walks over to me, taking my hand into his. My hand fit so perfectly into his like it was meant to be. No, I thought, I can't be thinking like this.

He led me over to the DJ station, leaning in to tell the DJ something. I suddenly hear one of my favorite KPOP songs erupt from the speakers. The lights were dimming except for the fairy lights and a spotlight that encircled the dance floor.

Magic Shop echoed through the room as he and I and, of course, a few others danced. I kept a reasonable distance between us, hoping that he would get the memo. But, instead, he pulled me closer to him. I stiffened.

"What was your little argument with Mark about?" He asks me, his hand slipping down to my waist.

I look into his eyes, "Just him leaving early..."

"Seemed a little more serious than that." He mumbled, continuing to look into my eyes.

"Maybe," I laugh awkwardly. "But it doesn't matter, Kookie."

He smiled at me, "I missed that."

"Missed what?" I found myself moving closer to him; maybe I did miss Jungkook a little bit.

"Everything," He sighs. "I've missed you."

"Well, who's fault is that?" I suddenly got defensive.

"Both of ours," He sighs. "You know it, too."

We just stood there in silence, finishing our dance. He pulled me closer, causing us to complete another dance with each other. I never realized how easy it was to be with him, after all these years. I never realized how much my body fit with his. I never realized how well we could get along. That's why he wasn't only my boyfriend during those years... he was my best friend.

After our second dance, Jungkook kissed my cheek. I pat his back, knowing how awkward it would probably be later. He didn't seem or look awkward though, which is fine, I guess.

When I got back to my hotel room, I noticed I had a DM from Jungkook on Instagram.
