january 1st 2020
dear diary,
today is the first day of the new year! i'm so excited for a new beginning! i also made a list of new year's resolutions:
hwa's resolutions
visit grandma often
be more organised
study well
ask sannie outoh! i almost forgot. today i bumped into san at the supermarket and he asked if i wanted to go to his house to play video games.
i know he's my best friend, and it's wrong to feel this way about a friend, but i can't help it.
anyways, here's how today went:

"seonghwa, are you ready?" his mom yelled from downstairs.
seonghwa was tying his laces tightly before shouting a 'yes' to his mom.
he ran downstairs and joined his mom in the car.
"mom, do you like my new shirt and jeans?" seonghwa smiled deeply, dimples appearing as he fastened his seatbelt, "san bought them for me."
his mom smiled as his words and her eyes formed a crescent shape. she was happy that her son was still so innocent and asked her about the smallest things. he's the youngest and acts likes the youngest, she thought to herself.
"yes, of course," she chuckled.
they soon arrived at the store and parked in a spot that was visible from the store's entrance so it'll be easier to spot when they get out.
seonghwa grabbed a trolley and began walking in front of his mum, grabbing all the food and drinks he desired.
when seonghwa was about to turn out of the aisle, he bumped into his best friend.
"oh! hi san!" seonghwa blushed. he didn't expect san to be at the supermarket today and felt embarrassed and tilted his head down because he was wearing the clothes he bought him.
"you're wearing the clothes i bought you," san pointed out, "haha, i'm wearing the clothes you bought me, too."
when seonghwa heard those words, his head shot up and he eyed san's outfit.
san noticed seonghwa checking him out and a light blush spread across his cheeks.
"hey, do you wanna come over tomorrow and play video games?" san said, to break the awkward silence between them.
seonghwa stopped looking at san's thighs and his eyes met his own.
they're so pretty, oh my god. they're holding the galaxy in them.
"yeah," seonghwa shortly replied.
they said their goodbyes and san went back to his mom, with a smile present on his face.
"why are you so happy? did you see san?" his mom joked. she knew about his crush on san but didn't know it was true.
"yeah," seonghwa sheepishly replied.
his mother just smiled at him and held his hand.
"i know he's younger than you, but i know he'll still feel the same way for you. just be confident in yourself," she said.
seonghwa always thought that san would find him pathetic if he asked him out because he's older and that he should have some pride.
but his mom always managed to say the right things to make him feel better.

i can't wait to go to his house tomorrow! goodbye, for now!
