I'm bored. I'm so incredibly bored that I don't know what to do with myself. This entire situation of staying at home is bullshit. I'm twenty one years old, turning twenty two in a few weeks. I shouldn't be subjected to being locked in my house like a prisoner. The masked phantoms want to rob banks, they don't want me.

Running a hand through my brown hair, I let out a frustrated groan. My entire house is quiet, so quiet that you can hear a pin drop.

My parents are at work and uncle Duke is still at the police station. He's shocked by the robbery that happened last night, and I understand his frustration, but this is bullshit.

Nobody else forced their kids to sit inside on a beautiful, sunny day. I should be out catching waves. Or better yet, I should be sitting on the bleachers at a lacrosse game.

I hate that I keep thinking about Riker. He's just so smooth and his looks could kill me. I know I made it seem like I'm not interested in his lacrosse game, but deep down I know that's a lie. I haven't been invited to a sporting event since high school, I miss the thrill of it all.

Looking at the clock on my wall, it reads the time of 4:30. The game at UCLA is starting in a half hour.

"Grace?" Skylar slowly opens my bedroom door. I turn my head, and see her standing with her backpack placed on her shoulder. "I'm going to Jenny's house. I should be home before mom and dad get back."

"Wow, you're really disobeying Mom and Dad's rules?" The irony amuses me.

"I need to hang out wit her." She simply shrugs.

"Can't she just come here?" God, I sound like my mother.

"You know I have a crush on Adam, I want to see him."

Typical Skylar. She's been crushing on her best friend Jenny's older brother for a few years now, even though he doesn't give her the time of day.

"Fine. If you're leaving, I'm leaving. I refuse to let my seventeen year old sister be the only rebel in the family." I stand up and slip sneakers onto my feet.

"Wait, where are you going?" Her eyes widen in surprise.

"Doesn't matter. We both need to be back by six, okay? Mom usually gets home around then and Dad walks through the door at seven."

"What about uncle Duke?" She takes a step back.

"Let's just pray he doesn't come home early." I shrug and grab my car keys.

"Fine, but if we get caught, we're screwed." She crosses her arms over her chest.

"You act as if I've never snuck out before. I've never gotten caught." Closing my bedroom door behind me, I walk past my sister and head downstairs.

"Okay, so we agree. I won't rat you out if you don't rat me out." She follows me down the steps.

"Wow, for once we have a deal." I head for the front door and pull my phone out of my pocket. Without saying another word to Skylar, I pull up Cameron's number and press on his contact. He answers on the first ring.

"You must be really bored if you're calling me." His voice fills my ears.

"I'm sneaking out. Want to come to a lacrosse game with me?" I put the call on speaker and get into the driver's seat before starting the engine.

"Are you stupid? Your dad would kill you. Scratch that, your mom would kill you. Savannah Jacobs is one badass woman. She scares me sometimes."

"Sometimes?" I laugh.

"Okay, all the time." Cameron sighs.

"I'll be home by six, they won't even know. They both called me earlier and I assured them that I was home, safe and sound. Now, give me an answer. Am I picking you up or not?"
