"Oh my god, Olivia. This food is delicious." My mouth waters as I place the freshly made chicken into my mouth. It practically melts onto my tongue due to its soft texture.

"Thank you, Grace. I'm so glad you love it." The sweet woman lets out a laugh.

The Sinclair residence is absolutely stunning. Even though the house Riker currently lives in is breathtaking, this house is simply perfection. Seriously, his kitchen resembles the Cheesecake Factory.

The mahogany wood theme of the house gives off a dark yet elegant undertone to the cozy home. The bricks surrounding the fireplace make me feel like I'm in a log cabin, away in the snow somewhere. The conversation has been fun and lighthearted for the most part, and his parents seem to really adore me.

This is exactly what I needed to distract myself from the safe I found in my parents closet. I'll deal with that later, for now I'm simply focused on the good conversation in front of me.

"You have such a beautiful home." I compliment while looking around.

"Aw, thank you." Olivia smiles.

"It sure got a lot smaller once Riker moved out." Scott lets out a long sigh.

"Well, it's nice to visit." Riker nods his head while taking a sip from his soda.

"That's the downside of having one child, once they leave the nest it becomes extremely lonely." Olivia shakes her head while looking back at me. "Do you have any siblings, Grace?"

"I do, I have a younger sister named Skylar. She's seventeen and a junior in high school. She can be a brat at times, but I love her to death. At least if I leave the house, my parents still have her." I chuckle.

"That's nice. How long have your parents been married?" Scott asks.

"Eighteen years. They're the definition of relationship goals, I envy the love they have for each other." I smile happily as I think back to my parents. I hate that they've been so secretive lately because of how close I am to them. I wouldn't know what to do without my mom or dad.

"That's like us. We just hit twenty two years in February." Olivia happily announces.

"Yes, we got married on Valentine's Day." Scott adds.

"Wow, that's so romantic." I smile as I look between Riker's parents.

"We couldn't wait to get married and start a family. I have four siblings and Olivia is from a family of seven. We always strived to have many children." Scott lowly explains while adding more vegetables to his plate. He lets out a sad sigh.

"Wow, so you're one of seven siblings?" My eyes widen in shock as I turn to his mother.

"Correct. I love big families." She says with a low voice, almost like there's a sad undertone to that statement.

Riker awkwardly clears his throat, so I look back at him. I feel like the conversation just grew a lot more uncomfortable.

"Well, my family is really small. Get this, my mom is an only child and so is my dad. Can you believe that? I don't have any cousins." I lightly laugh, trying to shed light into the semi-dark road this conversation took.

"Wait, really? Wow, that's uncommon." Olivia lets out a tiny laugh.

"Yeah, how insane?" I giggle again.

Out of all the people in the universe, my parents found each other. However, they both grew up on their own. It sucks to not have any cousins on either side of the family, but I had Skylar growing up and a crap ton of friends. That's all I needed.
