Chapter 6

Smiling when we return, I suddenly became very tired. Yawning I began to sway slightly.

"Hehe, you must be exhausted after all that," Sky said chuckling, "it's to be expected considering how much magic energy you just released in that short period of time."

Smiling, Ty looks at me, "how about you get some rest then we can give you a tour of the base this afternoon. How does that sound?"

With a slight nod, not realizing what I'm doing in my tired state, I walk over to Sky and cuddle up to him. Yawning I close my eyes and instantly fall asleep. 

Sky's P.O.V

As Frost cuddled up to me and fell asleep I couldn't help but feel this need to protect her. Now that I was close enough, I pick her up and take the chance to study and take in her appearance. She was somewhat small for her age, maybe 5' and had pure white hair. She was still wearing the same tattered old outfit that she had on yesterday plus Seto's cloak. The things that shocked me the most though was how light she was and the various scars scattered across the small amount of skin I could see. Gasping quietly I look up at Ty, Seto and Jason in shock. I had known she was malnourished, we all did, but we didn't think it was this bad!

"Sky? What's wrong?" Seto asked, placing a hand on my shoulder. 

"She's so light! I can barely feel her! And her skin is littered with scares!" I tell them. Their eyes widen in shock as they come closer to look. 

"Your right!" Ty says.

"We need to take her to Quinten. He will know how to deal with this," Jason said as he tried and failed to stay calm. I handed Frost to Seto.

"You all take her to her room. I'll find and get Quinten," I tell them as I walk off. Looking everywhere I find Quinten and everyone else in the dining hall.

"Sky? What's wrong? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Mitch asks as I walk up to them.

"Quinten, we need help, its Frost," I tell them. Suddenly Jason comes running in with a panicked look on his face.

"Guys her magic is going nuts and Ty got burned! Seto's doing his best to contain it but she seems to be having a nightmare and her powers are responding negatively!" He exclaimed. All of us looking at each other, we all nod and run towards Frost's room.

Upon arriving we push open the doors to see half the room covered in snow and ice. Looking around, we see Seto using his magic to create a barrier. Going over to him I place a hand on his shoulder. 

"Seto what's going on?" I ask him.

"We had just placed her in her bed when I noticed a layer of frost extending from her fingers and she started tossing and turning. Then the storm started. I was able to contain the side of the room with her bed on it, but not before some of the snow and ice touched Ty burning him," he explained.

"I told you all she was dangerous and you didn't listen!" Mitch shouted at us, "Now look what's happening!"

"Shut up Mitch! You don't know the first thing about her! None of you do!" Ian shouted back, shocking all of us. Looking over at him I see that both him and Derp are in control. "She was the first person to accept us for who we are! For what we did! We told her what we did and she accepted us! She forgave us! It took you all year's too actually accept us into the group and even then not really! But she hasn't even known us for a day and she talked to us, listened to us! She shared her story with us! How she watched the squid kill her mother! How she was forced to steal what she needed in order to survive because no one would take her in! How she's absolutely terrified of herself and her abilities!"
