All your fault

In The Woods

I'm so sorry for not posting! My life is pretty crazy right now, I should post about once a week. Again I'm so so so sorry!

Niko opened the backdoor and walked out into his yard. The yard was well kept and had had a fence surrounding the yard. Niko looked back at the house as he walked across the yard, making sure his sibling wouldn't see him. When ever he tried to go into the backyard at his old house his siblings would always tag along. He didn't hate his siblings but they could be very annoying when they wanted to. He opened the small gate that was built into the fence. The woods outside his yard where thick with trees, he almost got lost the first time he had explored them. He closed the gate behind him and walked out into the woods, fallen logs and oak trees where scattered across the ground. The branches and leaves seemed to cover the sky, blocking the sun and making it look darker then it actually was.

Niko walked through the woods, twigs snapped under his feet sounding loud in the quiet fall air. A chipmunk was scurrying among the trees and bugs chirped. Something rustled out in the trees, Niko whipped around looking for the source of the noice.

"Hello?" He called out into the quiet. "Is anyone there?" His voice echoed in the silence and the animals stopped chirping. A twig snapped in the distance and Niko looked out across the trees, he suddenly saw a blur of movement in the corner of his eye and he turned his head to look at it but it was gone.

Niko frowned and continued walking, the fallen leaves crunched under his boots. He came across a small stream, the water running through the ground and under a fallen tree. Niko climbed up on the log and carefully walked across it, praying his Narcolepsy wouldn't take him by surprise and he'd fall asleep. He made it safely to the other side and he sighed in relief. He saw a giant tree, the branches low enough to reach. He set his boot on the lowest branch, he knew the consequences if he fell but he loved seeing things from high in the air. He felt free when he did it, free from his family. Free from his new life. And free from falling asleep. He climbed higher, the branches and leaves raking his face. He got to a sturdy branch and sat down, felling tired from the climb. He leaned against the truck of the tree and started to dose off. He fought to stay awake, the soft light of the sun hitting his face and the smell of the woods lulled him to sleep.

He had a short dream. He was falling out of the tree that he had been sitting in but when we hit the ground the world spun and the dream shifted. He looked around to see him self in the woods looking around frightened. A branch cracked, the other vision of himself looked in his direction and he hid behind a tree. The dream shifted again and he was staring straight into the blank face of the tall man that he had seen in his other dream. Black tentacles wrapped around his wrists and he screamed.

He woke with a start, his head pounding he looked around. He was still on the tree high above the ground, the sky was dark it was night. He took a moment to adjust his eyes to the darkness of the night. The last wisps of sun rest on the horizon, he looked at the streaks of color in the sky until they faded to black. Stars appeared one by one and constellations shined in the sky. He sighed feeling slightly sick, he tried to look at his surroundings but it was too dark and his eyes wouldn't adjust. He felt with his foot for the next branch down so he could get out of the tree, his boot slipped and he yelled. He regained his balance and descended down the tree.

It's really late so I'm stopping it there, I'm really sorry I will post tomorrow I promise.
