When I came over earlier this morning to check on you, you were still in bed groaning about your splitting headache. Your messy brown hair was flying in all sorts of directions and parts of it covered your face. Even with your insane hair, morning breath, and crazed hangover, you still took my breath away Winter. God, how can someone be so beautiful?
"Hey kook," you had groaned, pulling your blanket over your face. I flopped down next to you and pulled them down, revealing your face again.
"How's the hangover going?" I asked. I couldn't help but laugh as your lips stretched into an embarrassed smile.
You chuckled and rubbed your hand over your face, "Terrible, let's forget last night even happened, I made too many mistakes."
I could've sworn my heart stopped beating for a second, "Well not all the mistakes were bad right?"
"Yes they were, can we stop talking about it now?" you grumbled, sitting up.
It hurt if I'm being honest, to hear you say our kiss was a mistake. I mean, I guess it was stupid of me to ever think that we could be something more. Hope is the worst thing to have.
I nodded my head quietly and got up, handing you the Advil and glass of water I had left on your bed last night. You muttered a thank you to me before popping the pills in your mouth. You threw the blankets off of you and began to push me out of your room.
"Now get out, I'm going to change and then we can go down to the diner to grab breakfast cause I am starving."
And with that, you closed your door in my face. I'm waiting in my car for you now, I hope I can forget this whole kissing debacle and not let it hurt me just like how it's clearly not affecting you. And hopefully, I can forget about my feelings too.
