You lifted up the candle, trying to look deeper in the tunnel. You gasped.
"A draft...The tunnel MUST lead somewhere." You said. But the tunnel was quite dark and you did NOT like the dark! You shook your head in disapproval. "Maybe this isn't a good idea..." You took back.
"Yeah, probably not...And there's probably a lot of bugs and creepy-crawlies! Not good." [NN's/N] said and Penelope shook in fear.
"But..." You started, looking back up at the rabbit and dragon. "I've never been outside the magic wall! This is my chance! Maybe my ONLY chance...I'm going." You stated, looking back at the tunnel in front of you.
"Penelope and Hobbie, you two should probably stay back up there." Your netnavi told them, and they nodded.
"I'll be back soon." You told them and took off into the dark tunnel. As you kept walking, more fear cluttered into you. You haven't experienced this before and just hoped that something nice is going to be at the end of the tunnel.
"Wow...this place seems like it's haunted." Your netnavi said.
"Oh, don't remind me...!" You pleaded and she giggled.
You walked for another while and suddenly dropped your candle cup in surprise when a rat ran by.
"Ugh, this place is getting on my nerves a bit..." You mumbled to yourself and [NN's/N] nodded. You picked up the candle again and kept walking, thank god the candle's flame didn't go out.
Finally, after walking for about 15 more minutes, the tunnel came to an end and you smiled as you saw a staircase that leaded upwards. You took a deep breath and hoped that it was some place out of the magic wall.
You walked up the stairs carefully and soon saw a clearing. You were on some sort of mountain. The sky was clear blue and there was more nature then you've ever seen. Both of you gasped in surprise and smiled at how lovely the scene was. You both smiled bigger when you walked to the edge of the mountain and saw a kingdom below.
"Whoa...! I don't believe it!" You said in awe.
"Well? Let's go!" Your navi cheered and you walked down the hill towards the village.
In the village, you walked through many alleys and saw children skipping around having fun, and many shops like the black smith's and bakeries. You smiled in delight. You haven't been in such a place before, and even if you did once, you couldn't remember it. You walked to the end of the village and saw the gates to the palace. You hesitated if you should go there since it's so royal, but took the chance anyways.
Stepping into the gates was the best feeling ever. Never in your whole life have you walked this near a palace, or even seen one! Continuing, you walked into the garden where there were apple trees everywhere and a few bushes with roses. You sighed in happiness.
"I feel like I never want to leave anymore." You smiled and cooed.
"Yeah, me too...But we shouldn't spend time here too much. Maylu could find out that you're gone!" Your navi told you.
"I know, we'll head back soon." You said to her and strolled around a bit more. In the distance, you saw 3 girls playing around with a white horse. They must be the princesses, as they were wearing royal gowns and tiaras. One princess looked around and went to go pick an apple, but then she fell into a hole! It looked like a mini sink hole! You gasped and rushed over to help. The other two princesses were worried sick about their sister. The princess was hanging onto a branch for her life's sake and was panicking quite badly. One of the princesses rode off on their horse to go back and get help.
"Just hold on! I'll help you!" You called out to the princess. You reached our hand down for her and she struggled to reach back up, but she was too afraid.
"I can't!" She called to you in fear.
"Just let go with one hand and reach up." You instructed. She hesitated for a bit but did what you said. "That's it..." You continued and finally got hold of her hand, trying to pull her upwards. But as you were, the princess slipped on the edge and you almost fell back into the hole with her when someone held you back by your waist. You pulled back the princess up to the ground and saw who saved both of you. It would seem like it's the prince. He had black and white hair which looked quite like an eggshell and he had vibrant blue eyes. Without a doubt, he was cute~. The princess ran up to her brother and hugged him tightly, and the prince then let go and looked up at you.
"Thank you for saving my sister." He thanked you with a smile. You smiled back.
"And, thank you for saving me!" You said. The three princesses then ran off to go play somewhere else leaving you two alone. "What beautiful girls." You commented.
"Ha, on their good days." The prince laughed a bit and said and slowly approached you. "Have we met before?" He asked.
"Well, I've...never been here before." You answered, turning away and looking back at the village.
"Do you live in Hikari's kingdom?" The prince asked you.
"Who's he?" You asked, facing back at him.
"The king who ordered that!" He told you, pointing back at the hole. You stared in confusion.
"Why would he do such a thing?" You asked, completely confused.
"Hikari claimed that our king did something bad to him years ago." He told you.
"...Did he?"
"No!"
"But if the king didn't do it, then can't they talk? Explain?"
"It's too late for that. The only way to end the feud is through force."
"Well that seems foolish." You rolled your eyes and commented.
"Oh, so you think so." The prince laughed a bit. Both of you then suddenly heard the princesses arguing in the distance. "I'd...better go check on them. I'll be right back." He told you and ran off towards them. You stayed still until a clock chimed in the distance. You stared at it in shock.
"Oh no! I hadn't realize how late it had gotten!" You gasped.
"Hurry, we HAVE to go back! Maylu's going to KILL us!" Your navi urged and you both ran back to the mountain with the tunnel, arriving back home just in time.
