A while later, Alec and the others came to pick us up for the beach. I had a cover up over my bikini and sandals. When the doorbell rang, Lilly ran to open it for everyone.
"Hi! Yay, now we can go to the beach!" Lilly cheered excitedly.
"Yeah! Arent you excited?!" Alec said to back to her. This was so cute to watch, he's great with her.
"Yeah, lets go now," Lilly rushes everyone back out the door. Alec stays inside with me while I get a bottle of water and an extra bandage just in case.
"How are you feeling?" Alec asks me as he puts his arm around me, and we walk out the front door.
"I'll be fine, love. Let's go, theyre probably waiting on us,"I said and lean into him a little. He nods, and we walk to his car, and he opens the door for me.
"Thank you, kind sir," I say to him as a joke. He laughs and walks around to his door and gets in.
"My pleasure, m'lady," He replies in a fake British accent. I chuckle and he turns his head in my direction. He smiles and we both laugh.
"I do it better," I said with a big grin. He bursts into laughter again. This is the most I've heard him laugh.
"Well of course you do, you naturally have the accent," He says with a laugh again.
We both laugh, and he turns on the radio and rolls the windows down as we drive down the highway.
Lilly chose to ride with Taylor and Cassandra, and the rest of the boys rode together. Since the beach is further into the city, the drive is going to be a long one. And the whole way there, Alec and I scream to the songs on the radio with the warm summer breeze flowing through the windows and blowing my hair.
About an hour later, Alec turned into the parking lot of the beach, and we all got out. Lilly ran to me and hopped on my back for a piggy-back ride. I laughed and started running down to the sandy beach area.
"Woohoo! Run faster, Lex," Lilly screamed at me and I sped up.
She laughed the rest of the way down to the beach. I got tired and my stitches in my stomach started to hurt a little, so I let her down as soon as I got close to the water.
Everyone else was trailing pretty far behind us, and they were all carrying coolers and surfboards and noodles with their towels. I sat down and laid back in the sand and watched Lilly play in the water. Hunter ran down to the water with two noodles. He swam to Lilly and handed her a noodle, and they laughed.
I smiled and relaxed down into the sand.
"Hey, Babe. Are you gonna get in the water?" Alec asks as he sits down next to me. I nod.
"Mhm, in a little bit. I don't feel like getting up yet," I said With a grunt. He laughed and grabbed my hand.
"Fine, but I'll make you get in the water later," He says and I chuckle.
"Okay. Im ready now, so let's go," I let go of his hand and take off my cover up. Alec stares at me and looks me up and down.
Right now I am wearing a bikini that shows my stomach and where I have my stitches.
