Chapter 9: Through the Desert pt. 3

(3rd pov)

Everyone is eating the Sandora Dragons and left some for their travels. Everyone is doing their own thing until Zoro spoke up.

"So, what's with the camel?" He asked Luffy. "I dunno. It was getting eaten by a mystery plant when I was chasing the birds." Luffy answered while eating his meat. "It doesn't seem to be a wild camel." Nami said. "No. It even has a saddle." Vivi agreed. Chopper came up to the camel, which will be named "Eyelashes" and they immediately recognized each other.

"I knew it!" Chopper said with a smile on his face. They seem to be talking to each other. "Huh? You know each other?" Luffy asked Chopper. "Yeah! He gave me a ride when I escaped from Katorea!" Chopper answered.

"That's great! We can ride it?! That'll make things easier!" Usopp said. "Yeah, that'll be a real help! Looks like it could carry two people." Sanji said while roasting the meat. "Camels do go hand-in-hand with deserts!" Zoro said.

(Y/n) didn't pay attention since she's to busy eating. She already knows what happened. Chopper translated what Eyelashes said which end up with Luffy, Usopp, and Sanji beating him up.

"I'm so sorry! My Crewmate are so ill-bred!" Nami said nicely while rubbing Eyelashes' chin. "You're a good boy! What should we call you?" Eyelashes bent down with hearts in his eyes so Nami will ride him. Luffy, Sanji, and Usopp rose their hands.

"Idiot!"

"Moron!"

"Doofus!"

And (Y/n) decided to join in. "Eyelashes." She sarcastically said knowing that will be his name. "Eyelashes" it is, then!" Nami said liking the name which cause (Y/n) and Zoro to sweatdrop.

"Uhh, that's the weirdest one of all." Zoro said as he turned to (Y/n) with a look on his face. She raised her hands. "I was being sarcastic! I didn't expect that she'd liked it!" (Y/n) lied knowing that she's not being sarcastic.

"Okay! Get on, Vivi!" Nami said to Vivi. "No, I can still walk!" Vivi reassured her. "Just get on." Nami said as Eyelashes bent down so Vivi could get on. "How about you, (Y/n)?" Nami asked her. "I'm good. I can handle walking through the desert with my bare feet." (Y/n) told her."You sure?" Nami said which you nodded.

You finished eating the meat and you can already hear the boys shout at the girls leaving with Eyelashes. "Wait for us!" They all shouted. (Y/n) laughed and shook her head in fondness.

Timeskip

Everyone was separated from each other, including (Y/n) and guess who she's separated with.

"Well? Do you see Nami's group?" Ace said. "L-Luffy?" As he looked up no one's in front of him. "Nani?!" He looked around knowing he's alone...well, not really.

"You walked off into a different direction." (Y/n) said with her hands on her hips. Ace turned around and saw her. "You followed me?" He asked with a raised brow. "I thought you know a short cut, so yeah." She said smirking which Ace smirked back.

"Let's keep going. I'm pretty sure we'll meet them around here." (Y/n) said. Both now walked beside each other until we heard a noise. "Did you hear that?" Ace said. "I did." She answered.

They saw something coming out from the sand and saw a giant scorpion in front of them. "I wouldn't if I were you." Ace warned the creature.

A few seconds later, the scorpion was burnt to a crisp and both of them walked away from it. "You warned it and it simply didn't give a damn which cost it's life." (Y/n) said with her hands behind her head. "It had it coming." Ace said.
