"Mark?!" yelled Sam and Amy as they ran over to him, the two tried to shake Mark awake but he wouldn't budge. The group was completely exhausted from their battle but Mark had been holding the crystal the longest. He had sucked in everyone's alter egos that they were fighting before Dark and his gang were able to use it on the city.

"We need to get him to the bed," says Amy.

"Right," responds Sam as he looked at the crystal "but what about that?"

"You take Mark to his room, I'll deal with the crystal,"

"Right," says Sam as he picked up Mark and brought him to the main house. Once he was upstairs, Sam brought Mark over to his bedroom and laid him down on the bed. Maybe Mark was as tired as they were. He could just be sleeping. Amy picked the crystal from the floor and examined it. Inside were their alter egos trying to break out.

"You assholes won't be getting out of there anytime soon,"

"You can't keep us locked away forever!" says Dark.

"Watch me," says Amy as she brought the crystal into the main room and went over to a painting that was hanging on the wall. Carefully setting the crystal down on the table, Amy removed the painting, revealing a safe and started dialing the numbers 12-25-30 into the combination lock. When the lock came loose, she pulled it off and picked up the crystal with the trapped prisoners and placed them in the center of the safe.

"This isn't over!" screamed Dark who was even more angry than before "You have no idea what I have planned!"

"You said that before and you ended up in this situation, so shut up Dark, I'm over you," with that she closed the door and locked it back up. Then she replaced the painting and made her way into Mark's room. Once she entered his room she saw that Sam was sitting on a chair waiting for Mark to wake up.

"I'm calling an ambulance, I can't just sit here and wait for Mark to wake up,"

"Alright, I just wanted to make sure that Mark wasn't in the basement if the police arrive,"

Sam nodded his head and pulled out his cellphone. Turning it on, he dialed the ambulance and told them the address. After the call was placed Amy and Sam waited for them to arrive. About forty-five minutes later they heard the sound of an emergency vehicle arriving at their doorstep. Without hesitation, Amy stood up and walked to the front door, opening it and allowed the paramedics to enter the house. They had a gurney with them and were going to take Mark to the hospital so the doctor could look him over to see if he was alright. When the paramedics brought Mark to the ambulance Sam and Amy followed in Sam's car. Amy turned toward Sam as he drove and saw that he was really concentrating. This week had been hell, they had fought their alter egos to a point where they were exhausted and now Mark was unconscious as he had used most of his energy to save them.

Whether Mark knew it or not, he had done something brave that would have made his family proud. Sam and Amy arrived at the hospital as well as the ambulance; Sam and Amy parked the car and climbed out as the paramedics brought Mark into the hospital. The two followed them inside as the doctors and nurses raced to figure out if Mark was okay. After about thirty-five minutes they had brought Mark to one of the rooms where he lay now peacefully asleep. Still Amy was worried for Mark's sake so she spoke to the doctor.

"Will he be okay?"

"Are you his girlfriend?"

"Yes sir," says Amy "is he?"

"Don't worry Amy, your boyfriend is fine, he must have fainted from exhaustion," says the doctor "He'll be awake soon and you and your friend can go see him."

"Do you mind if we go to his room now?"

"Um..." says the doctor hesitantly but sighed "go ahead, his in room 200 on the second floor of this building,"

"Thanks Doc," says Sam.

"Yeah," says Amy "Thank you!" together, Sam and Amy went to room 200 to see Mark. Entering the room they walked over to his hospital bed and pulled out two metal chairs. Sam sat in one while Amy sat in the other. The two waited for him to wake up so that they could tell him the good news.

45 minutes later

Amy had gone to get some food and when she came back she saw that Mark was awake and talking to Sam. A smile appeared on her face as she sat the food down and walked over to him.

"I'm so glad your okay Mark!" says Amy as she gave him a hug.

"I'm glad I'm okay too," responds Mark "What happened?"

"You saved the nation and possibly the world Mark,"

"I did?"

"Yeah," smiled Sam.

"Wait, I didn't do it by myself," said Mark "We did it together,"

"That maybe the case, but in the end you had the crystal that trapped our alter egos in it,"

"Wait, then why am I in the hospital?" Amy and Sam looked at each other waiting for one of them to answer the question. When no one did, Sam decided to answer it and turned back to Mark.

"When you used the crystal on all the alter egos," breathed Sam "You had used most of your energy which caused you to faint from exhaustion,"

"We thought it was something serious, but turns out it wasn't," says Amy "And, to get your strength back I got you this," finished Amy as she grabbed the chick-fil-a bag from the table and handed it to Mark.

"You got me chick-fil-a!" says mark with the biggest smile on his face.

"Yup, now eat up," answers Amy "the doctor said that we could take you home today!"

With that being said, Mark, Amy and Sam ate chick-fil-a together. After that long week of defeating their alter egos the group was able to go back to their normal lives but with a much stronger bond, Mark and Sam also became best friends and spend time together as much as possible.
