Mirage

Stranded in a desert alone
Lost in an ocean of sand
Every step draining my hope
To survive and to stand
The sun soared high
Making things worse
My feet betrayed me
I fainted'cause of thirst

There was no cloud in the sky
But a shadow blocked the sun
I opened my eyes
To see you were the one
You smiled when I hugged you
My happiness knew no bounds
In this lone desert, you were
The only stores of energy I found

We walked the desert
You walked with me
The miles of endless sand dunes
Began to break into a strip of blue sea
It increased as we approached
And we reached the place
Where the sea kissed the shore

For a moment I thought I was hallucinating
So I closed my eyes
Only a certain things we see in a desert are true
While the others are just lies
I opened my eyes to the Sky
And the sun was preparing to sleep
Everything that just happened and you too
Was just a Mirage, you see..
