CLAIRE'S POV

"CLAAAIIIIIRE!!!"

"WHAAAAAAT?"

"I NEED HELP GETTING READY FOR MY SKYPE DATE WITH NIALL." Oh Sam. Only you would scream at me from across the room.

"Fine, fine. What do you want to wear? I'll do your hair and makeup, if ya want me to."

"Of course I do! Are you stupid?!"

"Hey! I wasn't sure! Better safe than sorry, eh?"

"Yeah, whatever. Now help me pick out what to wear!"

I walked over to Sam'a closet and started pulling clothes out. Everything that I didn't choose was thrown on the floor, making it seem as though her closet threw up.

"AHH. I FOUND THE PERFECT OUTFIT."

I pulled out a cream lace dress. Yes, I know it's just a Skype date, but she still has to look good!

"Claire! It's perfect! Thank you so much!"

"Hey, that's what best friends are for, right? Now, I need you to help me with my outfit too."

"Okay, let's see. Oh! How about this?"

Sam grabbed a navy three tiered skirt with flowers on it and paired it with a hot pink v-neck.

"Wear this."

"Sam, you genius! What would I do without you?"

"I don't know. What can I say, I'm just brilliant."

"Yeah, yeah. Hurry! We need to finish getting ready! Our Skype dates are in 45 minutes!"

"WHAT. Hurry, woman! I have a hot Irishman to impress!"

"Okay! TO THE BATHROOM."

We ran into the bathroom and did our hair and makeup with about 5 minutes to spare. Sam ran over to her computer, and I walked into her guest room. It'd be pretty awkward if we were Skyping in the same room.

I walked over to the laptop and turned it on. After a few seconds, I was able to get logged onto Skype, and immediately, my computer started ringing.

"Hey! Wow, Claire, you look beautiful. You know you didn't have to get all dressed up for me, right?"

"Yes, Harry, I know that. But I like looking fancy. Problem?"

"Nope! But seriously. You look stunning."

"I'm not even that dressed up. A skirt is not fancy."

"It is in my book! My last name is Styles, by the way."

"Yeah, I know. I call you by your last name quite often, as you're always getting on my nerves."

"Oi! That's not nice."

"But so true. And you know it too!"

"Whatever, Claire. You just want to make me upset." Harry was starting to genuinely look upset. His eyes were down, and he was frowning.

"Hey, I'm sorry Harry. I had no idea that it would make you so upset. Please forgive me?" He looked up at me with a smug little grin on his face.

"Gotcha." What?! Ugh, I'll admit it. He got me.

"Haaaaaaaaaarry. That wasn't funny. I thought you were mad at me!"

"Sorry babe. But that's what you get for insulting me!" He smirked when my cheeks flushed bright red.

"Is there a problem, babe?" Cheeky bastard winked at me, making me blush even more. Well, looks like Harry figured out how much he affects me. This could be hazardous to future attempts at teasing him. He knows my weakness.

"Nope, not at all. What gives you that impression?" Harry smirked as I talked a million miles an hour. He knew he obviously just won this round.

"You sure? You're not sounding so confident."

"Hey, maybe I like talking that fast!"

"If you enjoyed talking that fast, how come you always talk at a normal speed, hmm?"

"I, erm, just discovered it?" I stuttered a little bit, trying to think of the right thing to say. Why is it so easy for him to fluster me?!

"Mhm, sure. I think you just don't want to admit that you like it when I call you babe."

"Why would I like that?" A flash of hurt crossed his face, but it disappeared as soon as if appeared.

"Oh, um, I guess every girl I've ever met has always loved it when I call them babe."

"Well, what makes you think I'm like every other girl?"

"I, I don't know."

"Exactly. I'm not your average girl, Harry Styles."

"That's a relief, Claire. Because I don't like average girls."

NIALL'S POV

I opened up my laptop and started it up.

"Come on, stupid thing! Hurry up!" I yelled, punching the power button multiple times, waiting for my background of Justin Bieber to pop up.

This Skype date was becoming nerve wracking.

I mean, I had to make a great impression on Sam. I'm sure she had all the guys back home lined up around the block. Why would she pick me?

My computer finally loaded, and I quickly logged onto Skype and called Sam. After a few rings, she answered. And mg jaw dropped. Literally.

SAM'S POV

As soon as Niall saw me, his jaw dropped. Literally.

Was this good? Or bad? Does he hate me? Oh gosh, I'm sure he does. He probably has all the girls lined up around the block. Why would he pick me?

Since Niall still hadn't said anything, I decided to say something.

"Um, hi, Niall."

"Uh, hey Sam. You look, just, wow, erm, basically, amazing. I'm speechless."

"Really? Oh gee, thanks." Aww, he's so cute when he stutters!

"Anyways, what's up?"

And so it begins
