As we were talking the whole time, a loud bang came from downstairs.

"What was that?" Celina asked.

And right when I knew what it was, a raucous shriek came from the source of the bang. I looked at Tia with the "oh no" face and she was thinking the same thing. I already knew what was going to happen so all I thought to do was:

"RUUN!" I screamed. Tia followed me and so did Celina and Nina. Synthia and another two girls, Mary and Yasmeen, stayed where they were standing and looked at me like I was crazy. We headed for a small room with one door that's open and one is closed. There were bathrooms and on the other side, two closed doors that led to the outside. At this point, I don't know where everyone went.

Right when we made it, Celina turned back.

"What is that?" She asked, "Wait, Celine, is that..."

"Yea it is. The thing from the sleepover," I finished. It nearly spotted us but we hid behind the closed door. The monster looked in our area and turned around the other way.

But right as it turned around, Celina sneezed. The beast turned its head around fast and started in our area.

"Celina!" Tia whispered.

"Sorry," she replied.

"You just exposed us," I said, seeing that the beast started walking towards us.

"Go outside, go outside!" Nina told Tia.

All four of us ran outside and I grabbed a long, square, wooden log and stuck it in between the door handle. We ran behind the building and stopped to get a breath. Some other people that were in the building made it outside, but I didn't see Synthia, Mary, or Yasmeen out here.

Since I was nearest to the door, I could hear the beast running and I felt the heavy stomping from it. The shrieking became louder as it got closer and closer. The floor shook even stronger as it got near us. At this point, I didn't know what to think.

On the other side of the parking lot, there's a lot of bushes and grass. Tia was thinking something and I could tell from her facial expressions.

"We need to hide in the grass," Tia said pointing to the other side.

"Yea, let's go," Nina said.

So we ran across the lot and jumped over (Celina and Nina didn't jump over it) the metal barrier that's usually on the highway. Some other people also thought to hide in the grass. A few people were calling their parents, and I realized, this was all my fault. If I didn't go to the party, none of this would have happened. The party wouldn't have been bombed if i didn't show up.

But a rustle from the bushes behind us disturbed my thought process.

"What was that?" Nina whispered. We all looked back, and my heart was beating harder than it ever was. I went towards the bush but what I saw was unexpected.
