"Umm guys? I said, "I think we need to go..."
"Yea, yea, just a second," Tia said, admiring the dagger with Celina. The monster crept closer and closer, inch by inch. At this point, I grabbed them by their shirts and pulled them back.
"Hey, what was that fo..." Celina was trying to say until she saw it. Soon, Boogeyman was hovering towards us at supernatural speeds. We ran as fast as our legs could take us. I tripped over a box that appeared out of nowhere. Celina and Tia stopped and tried to help me up until I felt myself flying, or what I thought I felt. The devilish creature grabbed me by my waist and squeezed me until I couldn't breathe. Tia was too terrified to try to stab the monster (I would've felt the same). I thought it was the end of me until a bright, blue and white light blinded me and all I could feel was me falling to the floor, gone from the grasp of Boogeyman. Once my vision returned, I saw that the monster was blinded. Celina and Tia helped me up and it looked like the monster's vision was also about to return.
"I need to go stab it," Tia said.
"No, if he sees you, he's going to wipe you out. It's too late." Celina said in a hurry, "Now, I'm not staying here forever."
I went to the nearest door, which was the basement door, to unlock it and head out. But the lock was all rusty and the lock wouldn't budge.
"It's not unlocking," I told them.
"Well what are we going to do? Boogeyman is gonna catch us all!" Celina exclaimed.
"Go through the garage," I said. We headed for the door that led to the garage and opened it. I turned around to see the monster and it was only a few feet away. I pushed the button to open the garage door and it worked. Tia and Celina slid under the big, rustic door. Since the garage door was slow to open and close, I pushed it again so it could close behind me because there was no button from the outside. I ran, and I thought I wouldn't make it, but I slid under it. When I made it out, there was only two feet until it closed. I layed there, out of breath, looking up at Celina and Tia.
"Come on, that door isn't gonna hold for long," Celina said, extending her arms out to help me up. I grabbed her hands and got up. We got into the car and I was surprised Cayla was still here.
"Go go go!" I shouted. She hit the gas and we headed off. I looked back at that house, hoping to not come back.
"So, how did it go?" Cayla asked us.
"Well, long story short, I almost died until some bright light saved me, and we got this dagger that we can use to kill the beast," I tried saying.
"It was kind of fun, not going to lie," Tia admitted. Me and Celina looked at her like she had five heads.
"You liked almost getting killed? Ok, buddy," Celina responded.
"Well, mainly the teamwork part," she corrected.
We dropped off Celina first and I can tell her mom asked her about her clothes. I waved to her and she waved back. Then we headed to Tia's house to drop her off, too. Once we made it to my house, I thanked Cayla (and don't worry, we all did), and opened the door with my personal key.
"Hey mom," I shouted so she could hear me.
"What took you so long? You left the house at around seven and it's ten. And you left your phone here," my mom said, a bit furious.
"Well, the line was long, and we got seconds," I thought quickly.
I went and took a quick shower, ate something quick because I was hungry, and headed to go to sleep. I plopped onto my bed, reviewing my night. So I went back to my old house when I was forbidden not to or else, found out that someone was guiding me to this special dagger, almost got killed, and slid under a closing garage door that was gonna squish my face like a car crusher.
"Wow," I thought to myself.
