I shined my flashlight and it covered its eyes with its slim, long hands. And I was pretty sure some of it started to disintegrate. I kept the light held at it and turned around and gave my friends a thumbs up. They climbed up the metal barrier and started making a bunch of commotion. The black figure turned around and went closer to the noise. Then, all of them turned on their flashlight and shined it directly onto it. The monster fell backwards but it got up. It ignored my friends' flashlight signals and yelled and headed towards me.

But the least of my worries became my greatest. My phone died, meaning my flashlight turned off.

"Nooo! Turn on, Turn on!" I was cursing at the phone. As I looked up, the beast was a couple of feet away from me. The only thing that came to my mind was to get to the other side of the parking lot where my friends are.

The beast stretched its arm to grab me, but I was used to the routine that I do in volleyball to get back up after I dive (I actually do play volleyball, so I was quick, but I wasn't used to doing it while dodging): lunge to the side, collapse my legs, and roll back. But since I was so used to doing this, I forgot that the floor was cement and gravel so I ended up scraping my leg really badly. I tripped on some huge rock and a deep gash appeared on my leg.

"Owww, why did I have to get used to doing this?"

From the other side, Tia noticed me fall and so did Synthia.

"Celine fell!" They both gasped.

"Let's go!" Celina shouted.

Where I was lying, I could feel so much blood draining out of my skin, resulting in me feeling extremely dizzy. All I could see is a black figure creeping closer, and closer. So close that it's hand was a few centimeters away, but got interrupted by a flash of light, blinding me. I went unconscious because of blood loss and the blinding light. But the second before I got unconscious, I felt someone dragging me to the side. As I was knocked out, I was able to see what had happened in a sort of third person viewing. The beast eventually gave up and ran towards the hall building. It got larger and longer, and started climbing up the sides of the wall, and soon disappeared into the night. As it was gone, Tia's mom came, driving in at full speed. She got out of the car and Tia explained everything to her. I rarely understood the conversation between her and her mom, but I did understand a bit of it.

"Mom, listen. I can't just leave Celine here."

"Her mom would come to pick her up, it's ok."

"Please mom, she's one of my closest friends and i can't just leave her here, not knowing what's going on."

Tia's mom thought about it for a while. "Fine, well take her to the hospital. I guess some of your friends can come along if they're able to."

Tia's mom and (I wasn't sure who the other person was, probably Synthia) carried me to Tia's car in the back seat. Tia hopped in the back with me and so did Synthia. All I was able to see was my head on Synthia's lap, my feet on Tia's lap, and Celina in the front seat, looking back at me. Then the third person viewing went away.

The strange thing is, I didn't just get unconscious and see beyond me, but I also had a vision.

I was in the parking lot at the hall, by myself, and I went out to my car to grab a water bottle. As I locked the car, I heard a rumble from behind me. I looked back and I saw the figure. Once I saw it, I was ready to take out my flashlight, but something prevented me from pulling it out. It walked towards me very slowly, and it stopped around 5 feet away from me.

"What do you want from me?"

It didn't answer. But it stretched its arm out and on the floor where it's finger was pointing, there were words written in red. I looked in that direction and it said, "YOUR FRIENDS THEN YOU." I looked back up at the beast but it had vanished by then. I looked around for it because I had so many questions, but the world started spinning, faster and faster. As it was spinning, I heard a deep laughter combined with a high shrill sound. Then it went black.
