It was now the start of winter where it got particularly cold around, almost below zero sometimes. They started working on rebuilding the exploded house they left for almost half a year.

While Pinoco and Jack worked on the house, (Y/N) was down around by the incline, checking to make sure a clump of the cliff doesn't fall. She went up to the side and felt it, (Y/N) didn't think it was going to fall, it was harder than brick!

Eventually, (Y/N) started to work on the house too, particularly the roof. Although she knew she had balance her feet would have a tingling sensation as if the shingles and boards underneath would break.

(Y/N) finished the first side, Jack was working on the inside now, and made sure to add a ventilation system. While she was working her feet slipped and she hit her head hard on the grass before tumbling off the cliff and into the water.

As she popped her head above sea level she definitely thought she might get pneumonia, because of winter. Finally, (Y/N) made it to shore freezing. She climbed the rocks and emerged from the bushes.

(Y/N) opened the door, "Uh-h Jack?" She called. He looked her way, "What happened?!" He grabbed a towel and started drying (Y/N) off. "Jack, I can do that by myself!" He didn't care though. Jack then took her temperature and it read 38.8°C. She had a cold instead of pneumonia.

(Y/N) also took notice that he didn't want her to work on the house and instead get some rest. Normally he wouldn't say that, it was a simple minor cold.

Over the time, Jack had thought of (Y/N) a lot while he was away. He did feel bad that he left her in a woman's home, but he developed actual feelings for her, he cares if she got sick with regular ailments that come and go on their own.

He also thought I'd he should ask her out, he has only kissed one girl, one time purposely. But something made (Y/N) more special than his Medical-School-Sweetheart. She always sent a good vibe to him, and never tried to hurt him. He wondered if she felt the same way.

Jack very often noticed that at some points in time (Y/N) would just stare at him, gazing into his eyes. He decided to make a move.

Later that night Pinoco fell asleep on her own, while Jack and (Y/N) were still talking, but quickly attempted to put his plan into action.

"Hey, it's getting late," (Y/N) said "Then I'll walk you to bed." Jack replied. In the hallway their eyes met each other, (Y/N) blushed and looked away. Jack stopped walking. "Jack? What's wrong?" She asked.

Jack went up to (Y/N) and put his hand on her face. "(Y/N), I have something to tell you." His deep soothing voice made her blush even more with her face resting in his hand.

"I'm in love with you." Jack calmly stated. (Y/N) hugged him and replied, "I love you too." And they both went to bed.

A month later they went on their first date for a walk in the park. It was late February and the spring blossoms were starting to bloom. Jack thought that (Y/N) represented them in full. They kept talking and after, Jack drove both of them back home.

Dinner was ready when they came back. They had Egg rolls with rice and Miso soup. After, Jack and (Y/N) were hitting it off great, until she laid her head on his shoulder.

Jack looked at her and tilted her chin up to face him. He was a bit nervous, but it didn't stop him from kissing (Y/N) passionately on the lips. She had no restraint against him, and kissed him back.
