As We Won't Grow Old

Kenny couldn't stop think about what had happened this morning. He hadn't been able to focus at all in any of his classes because of it, and ended up ditching his last class to think about how it felt.. good, having Craig care about him. Yet, there was still something that was eating at him about their interraction.
Kenny chewed at the skin on his thumb as he speed-walked down the halls. Then, he spotted something, no.. someone out of the corner of his eye. He stopped abruptly in front one of the various windows to spot him. The one who's been on his mind all day. The one who he can never get out of his head.
Craig Tucker, with Clyde nearly superglued to his side as per fucking usual. Kenny sneered. He thought it was gross how the jock seemed to never care about anyone else but Craig like he was the center of the universe. Even when they weren't side by side, Kenny would often see Clyde out of the corner of his eye, like he was a stalker. He couldn't wrap his head around it.. What did Clyde see in him? What was so special about Craig that neither of them could seem to stop thinking about him?
"Guess we'll never know" Kenny spoke barely above whisper, as he had now perched his arms, crossed, onto the window sill, "Life's just full of all kinds of fuck up's and mysteries with me, huh?"
He huffed with a sigh as he watched the pair outside, wondering what could be so fascinating about their conversation that Clyde had to be so fucking enthusiastic about. Craig didn't seem very interested either, seeing as he had his arms crossed the entire time Kenny had spied on them. After a while though, Kenny had pushed himself off the window sill and stalked off back to where he had planned to go: back to the dorm room.

The bell for the last class had sounded and Craig couldn't have been more anxious. The entire time Clyde had talked his ear off about.. something.. He doesn't even remember, but that's not important. What was important was finding a certain dirty blonde and.. well, he hadn't gotten that far. He did believe that maybe now wasn't the right time to ask that, but who knows? Maybe by the end of that night, things would be different.
Craig had managed to finally find Kenny's last classroom with Cartman walking out just in time. He called out to him, which made the taller boy look back at him with a raised eyebrow.
Hey Eric- don't give me that look, but uhh.. hey, where's Kenny?" Craig had become confused now. He was so positive these two shared their last class together..? Eric practically glared daggers at the raven haired boy and spoke with an edge to his voice,
"I don't know, Craig, where is he? 'Cause he was in all of his other classes but this one." Eric's look challenged him, as if to say 'what did you do to him', to which he stood his ground.
"If I knew, I wouldn't have come here now would I?" Craig really didn't want to fight, so he let out a heavy sigh, his eyebrow twitching.
"Look, you do you, I don't want to get into this right now. I'll go find him, you go chill out in a corner or whatever.." To which Craig had started to speed-walk down the halls past Eric to find the other.
So, Kenny didn't show up? Weird. The boy had stopped ditching after 6th grade, so what changed? Did he know Craig was going to try and talk to him, so he's.. avoiding him? No.. Craig couldn't bear to have thoughts like that. It made his heart sink to think that way. Well, it was Kenny, who was known to always go back into old habits after too long, so it was really only a matter of time before the cycle started again. So, he went to the only place to which he could think Kenny could've disappeared off to: their room.
Craig stood in front of the door, suddenly feeling nervous, which was so not like him. He was supposed to be chill and laid-back, not a nervous wreck of a man. He took a deep breath and opened the door to see Kenny..
..Fell asleep?
Oh.
Well, that was rather underwhelming, but Craig let out a sigh of relief either way. He silently closed the door, remembering to lock it since Kenny would always throw a hissy fit over that. He made his way over the his bed and sat down, shoving his backpack under the bed with his feet. He sat there and just watched Kenny's chest rise, then fall with ever breath. He then noticed that he'd fallen asleep in his clothes for that day.
"Typical, Kenny.." He whispered to himself. He felt weird for watching the other sleep, but a part of him felt oddly.. comfortable. He couldn't really describe it, but there was kind of a warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest that he just couldn't scrub away.
That.. that right there was why Craig really wanted, no, needed to talk to Kenny. There were these feelings, desires he had about the younger boy that he had always felt, but had always denied. He knew it was unhealthy to deny himself of feeling, but t Craig, if he didn't acknowledge it, the feelings never existed. Now, however, he could no longer hide from the existence of his feelings. He couldn't bear to watch Kenny about a week ago when he had dragged the boy with him to smoke. Couldn't bear to see how close he had gotten to the tall goth, or any of the goths in general. He..
He was jealous.
Craig's breath hitched at the thought, and his face started to fluster. Then looked up immediately when he noticed Kenny stir, only for the boy to just roll onto his other side, back facing the raven haired boy now. His breathing had gone back to normal and once again began to admire the sleeping boy.
Once more silently admiring.
Only this time, it'd be different.
