"Morning sleepyhead," Harrison says as I open my eyes.
"Mornin'," I say with a small smile.
"Today is a new day, get up and get ready for race day," he says pulling me up. "I made you breakfast and got you some clothes."
"Thanks, Harry," I say giving him a quick hug before sitting down to eat.
"Anything for my best friend," he says with a huge smile on his face.
"And this is why I love you, you idiot. You treat me like a princess when most guys wouldn't," I say with a smile.
"You're so sweet Lace, which is surprising this early," he teases.
"Oh you're so funny," I joke.
"You know you love me," he says teasingly.
"I'm not too sure about that," I say messing with him.
"You do love me, you said it yourself last night," he states taking my plate of food away. "Tell me you love me and that I'm your favorite."
"I love you and you're my favorite," I say slightly sarcastically.
"I'll take it even though it was a little sarcastic," he says putting my plate down. "When you're done go get ready."
"Okay dad," I say with extreme sarcasm. I quickly finish my food and then get ready. "Harry what about my makeup?"
"You don't need it Lace," he says.
"Fine, I'll go without it," I say getting ready. He brought me a white flower romper with nude heels. When I'm done I walk out and catch his attention.
"I made a great choice, my best friend looks amazing," he says staring.
"Well I'm ready, are you?" I ask.
"Yeah I'm ready," he answers. "Who's car should we stand by?"
"Chase's obviously," I respond. "We also have to sit in his pit box."
"Okay, sounds like a plan," he says grabbing my hand and leading me out.
"I hope he has a good race today," I say as he pulls me towards pit road.
We didn't need our passes to get out there because everyone knows us and our parents. We weave through the people on pit road to find Chase's car. They're doing driver intros so we just chill and talk to Chase's crew. He eventually comes up to us afterwards and not long after Michael Waltrip walks up to talk to Chase and he talks to us too.
"Look who's here with Chase Elliott, it's Ryan Earnhardt and Harrison Burton," Mikey says.
"Mikey I've known you for forever and you still won't call me by my middle name," I say.
"Sorry Lacey Earnhardt," he corrects himself.
"Thank you," I say. He then turned to Chase to talk to him, a few minutes later he turns to me.
"So it's going around that Noah Gragson fought Austin Cindric last night, what happened?" He asks.
"This isn't something to be discussed on national television Michael," I say a bit harsh.
"Oh, sorry to bring it up," he says then leaving. Chase then taps me on the shoulder.
"Talk to me about what happened after the race," he states which means there's no backing out.
"Okay," I say as they begin the invocation. Chase put an arm on my back for the anthem. Once it was over I hugged him as he got ready to get in his car. "Good luck Chase, go kick ass out there and make me proud."
