"Wake up Lace," Ryan says slightly shaking me.

"I don't want to," I groan rolling over.

"Come on, it's noon and you've got me all day," he says poking my arm.

"Fine," I mumble sitting up.

"Good, get ready so we can get lunch," he says pulling me up off the bed.

"Yes sir," I say sarcastically.

I go into my room and open the closet. I picked out a stripped shirt with ripped jeans and Adidas shoes. I quickly change and picked out a necklace that Chase gave me and a ring my dad got me before he passed. I then curled my hair and put on mascara, blush, and lipstick. I grabbed my wallet, phone, and keys from the dresser then walk out.

"Let's go," he says leading my outside. We get in my Camero and head to Denny's. Ryan didn't really like riding in my car since he's a Ford guy not Chevy. When we get there the waitress sits us at our regular table and didn't even have to ask for our order.

"I can't believe you're with Chase," he says as we head to Go Pro Motorplex.

"I can't believe it either," I say with a smile.

"Y'all are good together, he's also extremely happy now that he's with you," he tells me.

"Yeah I'm really happy with him, I've never even had the time to be heartbroken over Austin," I say.

"I'm not supposed to tell you this but Austin has been upset," he says.

"Oh, well I can't worry about that right now," I say focusing on the road.

"Yeah you've got to focus on Chase especially this weekend," he says.

"I hope he'll win," I say with a small smile.

"He better win," he says with a laugh.

"If he don't he'll be sleeping on the couch," I joke.

"Actually?" he questions.

"Nah I'll probably just make him sleep in his room by himself," I respond.

"Oh yeah that'll show him," he jokes.

"Oh shut up Mr. Single," I tease.

"Dang, I see how it is," he states crossing his arms. We sit in silence the rest of the way with music on it the background. We get there and walk up to see some of the younger drivers.

"Hey Lacey," Ty says.

"Hey," I say with a smile.

The drivers there are Ty Gibbs, Austin Green, Sam Mayer, Dawson Cram, Raphael Lessard, Corey Heim, Taylor Gray & Chandler Smith. I know Sam because he used to run for my brother. And I know Ty because he's Joe Gibbs' grandson so I've watched him grow up at the tracks, he's like my little brother. I don't know the others very well because I've been more focused around Chevy drivers. I know drivers from other manufacturers only because I've grown up around them.

"We were about to race, do you and Blaney want to join us?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun," I reply.

"I'm down," Ryan adds. "Down to beat all y'all."

"Don't get cocky Blaney, any one of us could beat you," I state. "I'm a bit rusty but I've got confidence."

"Let's do it, see who's the best driver," he says.

We walk over to get set up to race. Soon we head out to the karts and get ready. Finally we roll out and set up the grid. Blaney and I are the last two so we don't have an advantage of any sort.

We raced for a while, Blaney and I moved up to the front quickly. On the final lap it's me, Ty, Blaney, and Sam going for the win. As we get close to the line Ty begins to lag behind holding Sam up so it's me and Blaney. He's ahead of me but in the last corner I make a smooth pass for the lead and win.
