When Yoongi confessed to Jungkook about having feelings towards the younger, Jungkook was riddled with anxiety and doubt, not at all ready to dive into a relationship after the unpleasant experience he had in the past. A relationship which he did not want to think about anymore, memories which brought him nothing but pain and felt like bullets firing at his self-worth. Even so, Jungkook could not lie to himself. He liked Yoongi. He wants to believe that Yoongi is different, that Yoongi is the right one. With Yoongi, he wants to take a leap of faith, uncaring of the chances of him crashing down from another heartbreak.

Throughout the time Jungkook has gotten to know the elder, Yoongi has been nothing but kind, gentle and patient with his needs and antics. If there was anyone that deserved to be Jungkook's second try at romance, it would be Yoongi. So, with his heart full of unbridled hope, he accepted Yoongi's confession but he still found it to be too soon to return the elder's "I love you". Yoongi did not mind though, he is grateful that Jungkook even gave him a chance and will let the younger set the pace of their relationship so he has control with what happens between them. It does not take a genius to be able to see that Jungkook had a traumatic experience with romantic relationships in the past and Yoongi did not want to push or accidentally hurt the younger.

It was a few days after Jungkook accepted Yoongi's confession, not much has changed with their dynamics, which Jungkook was grateful for. They still see and talk to each other almost every day, just with the addition of Yoongi being extremely annoying with all of his teasing and compliments which never failed to get blood to rush upwards to Jungkook's cheeks and stay there, resulting in a bright red blush that made Seokjin fuss over him thinking he had overheated. Jungkook was just relaxing in his bed considering it was early on a weekend, even Seokjin was still asleep when he received a message from Yoongi.
