As I rode home from the zoo I passed the ice cream shop my dad used to take me  to.                             When I entered the cafe my mom ran up to me and gave me a big hug.                           She sat me down and gave me a chocolate cupcake with a birthday candle in it.                 After she sang happy birthday (embarrassing  right) she set a small box with a big pink bow on it.                             As I opened my present the first thing I saw was a baby book.   When I opened it up there were pictures of me as a baby with friends and family and since all of my family lives in Massachusetts this ment a lot to me and I've only seen them once, and that was when I was a baby and even then we only had a few pictures.                     Under the album there was a watch necklace.                       My mom said my dad had sent it in the mail a couple days ago and that he wishes that he could be here.                           The watch was silver and had a long chain.                     On the back of it was a big silvery 'A' representing my name (Abigail).

After the cupcake I went up to my room to put the album away.      My room was blue with stars on the walls.

(My mom painted them when I was a baby and I'm just to lazy to paint over them).

I have a white canopy bed with two pillows because I hate throw pillows ,because you take them off at night and when you wake up you just have to put them back and it takes forever to get them in the right positions.

I have a white desk and a closet and besides my stared walls my rooms pretty boring.

The one thing I love Is that when I look out my bay window I see the Brooklyn Bridge all lit up like a Christmas tree.

The bright glow warms me like sitting by a fire.

When I checked my watch to see the time, it was only 8:30 but I felt so tired.

As I put the watch on it felt like my dad was with me as we gazed at the cars on the bridge. We'd try to guess who was driving them and who those people were, and we wondered if they were as happy as we were.
