Toni POV

I woke to Cheryl still asleep on me. I didn't move. It was already 11:45 in the morning we slept for an eternity. I laid there gazing at my beautiful girl, lightly stroking her hair. It was starting to sink in that I killed someone, I had never killed before. I took a life with my hands, it may have been my uncle, but it was still a life. If I hadn't shot him he would have taken everything away from me. First my family and then my soulmate. I kept trying to justify it, but I was a murderer. How could this innocent girl still want to love a killer. Cheryl turned in my arms her eyes widened she looked off into the distance. Her eyes devoid of any emotion.

"Good morning," I said as I kissed her red locks.

"Morning TT," she said still staring.

"Are you okay princess?" I asked starting to feel concerned.

"Yes TT, just a little hungry," Cheryl said as she remained unmoved. Something was bothering her, maybe she just needed time to process what had happened over the past 24hrs and I don't blame her. I was still trying to process.

"Well I will go and make you some breakfast beautiful," I said wriggling out form under her, I leant down to kiss Cheryl and she rolled so I could only kiss her cheek. She smiled sadly trying to cover that something was wrong but I knew her to well. I made my way downstairs and stumbled through the kitchen trying to find the ingredients for pancakes. Somehow I succeeded, I would eventually get used to living here. I brought the tray upstairs and Cheryl was sitting on the bed wearing a tight long sleeved red dress and thigh high black boots. She looked gorgeous.

"Princess you look gorgeous," I said as I couldn't stop staring at her.

"Thanks TT, the pancakes smell amazing," she said and grabbed a plate off the tray and started eating. "Mmmm."

"Why are you all dressed up babe?" I questioned not knowing the occasion.

"Why for our party of course," Cheryl said in between mouthfuls of pancake.

"Cheryl, we can cancel it," I said, not really in the mood to entertain after what had just happened.

"Why would we do that," Cheryl said now on her phone, her gaze not once meeting mine. I motioned towards her and she hoped off the bed.

"I'm going to prepare the house for our guests," Cheryl said as she exited the room.

Something was wrong but Cheryl wouldn't let me in. I ate my breakfast by myself wondering what I had done and why Cheryl wasn't opening up to me. Was it because I killed someone. She didn't want to be with a murderer. I didn't blame her. I took the tray downstairs and cleaned the kitchen. I felt my phone vibrate

Fangs🕷
Did you want me to get alcohol from the White Wyrm for the party?

Toni 🐍
Thanks fangs that would be great see you soon.

I put my phone back in my jeans. Where is Cheryl I thought to myself having not seen her for the last hour. "Ding dong," I went to the door and there stood Vanessa and Betty.

"Good afternoon Toni," said Betty.

"Hello Toni," Veronica said.

"Hey girls," I said smiling at them, trying to hide my real mood.

"Girls, about time, I need your help," said Cheryls voice from behind me I turned and smiled at her. Still I got nothing in return. Cheryl gestured to the girls and started directing them around.

"Princess," I said. I placed my hand on her lower back and felt her body shiver. I removed it straight away, Cheryl had never reacted like that to my touch before.
