Author: Hello, fellow geeks! If any of you have read this original story, then you must have noticed I haven't been updating it. I've been putting this story aside and haven't written it for a long while. I actually have some of it written, so you'll see that at the bottom of this note. Since I've rewritten my other original story, The Night Dreamers, on another website, I plan to do the same with this story. I like the concept of this story and I want to rewrite it someday and improve the characters. I haven't looked back at the story yet, but I think I remember that one of the characters feels a little off in one of the chapters, so when I rewrite the story, I'll make that scene better with the character's personality. So I'm sorry for those geeks that have read this story or somehow miraculously come across this story, that I have to discontinue it. I don't know when I will rewrite this story, but when I will, you'll see it on a website called Royal Road with my name as Yuri Sun. So when you go on there, you'll see my story, The Night Dreamers, and the stories that I have favorited and followed (which are my friend's stories). Ok, onto the unfinished chapter.
Chapter 6: Opal's Whereabouts (Unfinished Chapter)
Travis P.O.V.:
"So, William pretended to be my hostage, then we were able to gain information on Princess Opal's whereabouts from Scary Larry." I started. "Scary Larry told me that Princess Opal is tied up in Harold and Kyle's basement, he didn't tell me the location, but I know it. It's on MerryWell Street. Harold's plan is to trade Princess Opal with different criminals until she doesn't look like herself anymore. Harold will trade Princess Opal with Scary Larry, then he will cut her hair or change her looks a bit. Then he will trade her with another criminal, they do the same and change her looks a bit. So on and so on. Until she is unrecognizable, she will be released. So, if she tries to go back to Hollow Castle, no one will recognize her anymore, not even her dad." I finished.
"That. Is. Cruel." Elizabeth says. "We need to stop this immediately!"
"Um. Can you release me now?" I ask, pointing to the handcuffs.
"Oh yeah, sure." Elizabeth says as she undoes the handcuffs. "Travis, take us to Harold and Kyle.
I nod. "Already on it!" I stop and realize something.
Won't people find it odd if Royal Guards are following a so-called criminal, and that criminal isn't chained or something?
"Why'd you stop?" William asks me.
I turn around to face them.
"Won't the citizens find it odd if all these Royal Guards, you, are following a so-called criminal, me, who is not chained?" I ask them.
"Oh, that does sound odd." William agrees.
"Elizabeth, put the handcuffs back on me. But this time, both of them. I don't want to be handcuffed with you, you're scary." I say with my hands stretched out to her.
She looks a bit shocked. Probably because I'm a "big criminal" who is voluntary to be handcuffed, and also a bit triggered that I called her 'scary.'
"Alright." She says as she pulls out the handcuffs. She locked my hands together with them.
"Now I will take you to MerryWell Street." I say.
"Alright, but first let me contact the rest of my group." Elizabeth announced.
"Ugh. I want to save my precious Opal!" I complain.
"Pfft... S-Shut u-up!!!" Elizabeth tries not to laugh and hush me.
I pout.
Elizabeth pulls out a walkie talkie and speaks into it.
"Alright. Can everyone hear me?" Elizabeth starts off.
Lots of 'yes' reply.
"Ok. I have Travis in my possession. Please come to the designated area: --------" Elizabeth orders.
Many gasps were released once she mentioned I am here, and in the end they said "Yes, ma'am."
Elizabeth puts the walkie talkie back in her buckle.
"Alright, they should be here in a bit." Elizabeth says.
"Hey, can I give you and William a nickname?" I ask Elizabeth.
"Sigh. Sure, whatever." Elizabeth sighs.
"Ok!" I cheer. I point at Elizabeth. "Your nickname is Lizzy," then I point at William, "and your nickname is Willy."
"I thought my nickname would be more creative." William whines.
"Sigh. Fine, I'll think of a different one." I sigh. "How about Leo?" I suggest.
"That sounds awesome!!!" Leo cheers.
"Leo doesn't seem like a suitable name for you, you're too childish." Charles laughs.
"I agree with Charles." Lizzy covers her mouth with her hand.
