Red Rover Runner ( book two in Blue eyes series)

Chapter 2

BEEEP BEEP BEEEEP. My alaram woke me up . I groan and shut it off stretching  and I get ready for another day. It was my day to work at home and I enjoyed lounging around and drinking my coffee as I wrote up contracts and also talked to people getting the cafe built was awesome I loved this kind of work . I blink then looking out the window quickly . Thinking I was being watched I walked the permitter of my backyard smelling. The pack definitely knew someone was here and they sent one of their watchers to keep an eye on me. But If they knew I was runner they weren't doing anything it was weird like I was accepted.    But I wouldn't trust this false security.  Going back inside and back to my work helped me to forget about it. At dinner time I headed out to eat at the small eatery on main street . The waitress was motherly and called me hun as she took my order . I was so tired of running  and longed to settle down and have a family but none like would except me and humans run. After eating I drove by the college the smelled like wolves. I got out and looked around smiling as I watched the students run to and from class. I never had that chance to have friends like that. Going back home I finish my drink and head upstairs for a shower .

 She was back her smell was intriguing to Arlo who watched with intrest  as a wolf . He had been worried that she had left for good and he had scared her away this afternoon as he had tried sneaking closer. There had to be away to go to her without alerting her wolf senses that he was like her. She was clearly scared and was ready to run at any sign of danger from his pack. He blinked thinking  . " Since when did this pack become his ?" 

"  Since you've become member of it . You're just as important as Sid or any of Leon and my pack plus your family big brother."  Crystal's voice answered the question. Arlo couldn't help but smile at her voice . He had always loved his sister that was one thing he didn't forget thorough everything he had been stubborn in looking for her. But she found him and brought him here and where ever she went that was home for him. He went back to watching the cottage . His wolf ears turning to catch any sound . She finally came down again in her pjs and relaxed on the couch . All night he watched her house protecting her from anything . He really wanted to meet her. She smelled like winter mint fresh and like a new day. He wished she would change he'd love to see her wolf form .

The presence was back but this time it didn't look like it would leave. I realized at that moment I wasn't scared it felt like more of a protective watch then menacing now. I began to grow curious in what was watching me. My sensible self though screamed at me " dont you dare go look for trouble." I still was curious though finally against my better judgement I went out and sat on my backyard deck. " I know your there . Who are you ? What do you want ? If you want me to leave I'll be gone as soon as I'm done the cafe . Please be patient with me . Why am I talking to you. Arghhh!" Then out of the woods came a beautiful furry face of a wolf a russet brown and black and white markings but his eyes were green .  I gasped . He was amazing looking as he approached cautiously I saw the scars shinning thorough the fur. His eyes were serious but sad . " Are you the one watching me so admatily ?" His approach was breath taking abit of limp in the back leg but it was stately . He sat in front of me his eyes told me to continue talking. " I hate running . Im tired of it but you and your pack probably will kick me off your land as well ."  At this he leaned into my legs as if to say you dont know that and you can trust me. " I don't even know you though but you as this form its is comforting finally able to talk someone about my fears . He turns his head nuzzles it into my lap .  Then stands up and growls in front of me his tail raised staring into the woods.  A black wolf came out whining its tail wagging and the russet wolf sighs licking the black one gently you could clearly it was an effort for it to move . As her stomach was swollen with pups. " Is she your mate ?" I ask. He shakes his head no .  Another wolf bounds out quickly licking the black wolf his fur golden and eyes a typical wolf gold . But the black wolf had blue eyes and she let the gold wolf nuzzle her and fuss over her. " Ah so these two are mates ." I laugh ."Calm down she's fine mister wolf . I kinda want to meet you in person ." I blink shaking my head my heart was talking now not my head . They could kick me out why am I so comfortable with them . " Im sorry you guys will probably make leave Im just a rogue . I'm just finishing the job and I'll leave I'm sorry to be on your land.
