**There is swearing. Also, I don't know how college/university works so sorry!!**
Somehow, the trio made it to class without any major issues. Obviously, it's only if no one counts the fact that Felix managed to drop his toast on the drop and when he tried to pick it up, promptly got attacked by the neighboring pigeons. Seungmin managed to trip every 30 seconds but that was mainly because Felix either pushed him or purposely stuck his foot out to make Seungmin fall. The two also bickered a lot which almost led to a fistfight. Luckily Minho was there to keep his friends in check.
As soon as the three entered the building, they split up to head to their respective classes. Minho sprinting to his since it was the furthest. Luckily he made it before the late bell rang. In his class, Minho was the youngest by a year but always got the highest mark. Some people called him the child prodigy. Others called him the nerd or the kid with no life.
"Alright class, please settle down," the teacher said as she stood in the front of the room, "we have a new student today."
Interested murmurs spread through the classroom. The last time they had a new student was when Minho entered the school. However, Minoh barely interacted with any of the students so his arrival was a let-down. Minho, however, was used to being a let-down so it didn't bother him too much.
"Please come in and introduce yourself."
The new kid stepped into the room. everyone was shocked to silence by the boy's ethereal looks. To say he was handsome would have been an understatement. Judging by the way the boy sauntered into the class, he knew he was handsome too.
"Hello everyone! My name is Hyunjin! I hope we could become friends. Please take care of me!" The boy said as his eyes roamed the room. The second his eyes made contact with Minho's, the boy smirked.
Obviously, this frightened Minoh. In his opinion, there were more interesting people to look at in the class. Some of which are the girls who sat at the front, fluttering their eyelashes at any boy that walked past them. Minho was also the most boring to look at, at least he thought. He was the "back-row-in-the-corner" student who never catches anyone's attention. Just the way he liked it.
"Thank you for that lovely and spirited introduction," the teacher said, "Please have a seat next to Lizzie." She gestured to the empty seat next to the girl whose eyelashes are definitely going to fall out by the end of the class. "Now class, please turn to page 334 and self-learn chapter 5. we will be having a quiz on it tomorrow and I want to see how good your self-learning skills are."
Sighing with relief fro being able to listen to music while tuning out the world, he pulled out his earbuds and played his music to the maximum volume. Being true to his title as the child prodigy/nerd, he made notes for himself on all of chapter 5. If he wasn't so focused on his textbook and papers, he probably would've felt a piercing and probing gave that came from the front row.
When the lunch bell sounded, Hyunjin rapidly made his way to where Minho was sitting, who still had all of his attention on his notes. Hyunjin stood by Minho's chair without being acknowledged for a total of 30 seconds before getting offended. He ripped Minho's earbuds out of his ear and politely coughed.
Minho looked at Hyunjin with a questioning stare, not even bothering to voice out his question.
Suddenly feeling like a schoolboy asking out his crush, Hyunjin fixed his gaze on the ground and shuffled his feet. "I was wondering if you knew the bell rang..."
"I didn't," Minho replied curtly and with a monotone voice.
Suddenly picking up courage fro his training in TAME, Hyunjin straightened his composure and smirked at Minho. "Well, I-"
"No thanks," Minho said, completely cutting Hyunjin off, "Not interested either. Go find someone else to flirt with. You might be the hot new boy but that doesn't mean for you to try to attempt to get into just anyone's pants." Minho quickly packed his stuff up seeing as people were starting to watch the exchange between the two. 'Now, if you'll get out of my way, I have stuff to do that doesn't involve talking to strangers that need a life."
With that final sentence, Minho pushed his way past a dumbstruck Hyunjin and made his way to the door. Before he made it out the door, he heard a voice say to Hyunjin, "Don't mind Minho, he has always been an asshole."
Eyes blurred from the tears, he ran all the way to the library. Sitting at one of the round tables, he tried, to the best of his ability, to calm himself down. Deciding that it would probably be better for him to avoid more social interactions, he pulled out his noted from class and studied. He sat in the mostly empty room save for the librarian for a total of 25 minutes before hearing someone enter the library. Minho didn't think much about that until the footsteps stopped behind him.
"Hey baby boy, why aren't you at the cafeteria?"
Sighing with relief, since the only person who dared to call him with cheesy nicknames would be Seungmin, Minho said, "I fucked up in class and now I want to avoid interactions with the assholes from my class." Not even bothering to turn around and talk to the person standing behind him, he rested his head on the table. "Care to join me in my misery, babe?"
"Yo, chill. I literally just met you today. We aren't even in a relationship yet."
Yelping with surprise, Minho turned around in his seat to meet the smirking face of the one and only Hyunjin. "You aren't Seungmin!"
"Yea, I figured as much. Last I checked, my birth certificate said Hwang Hyunjin, not this Seungmin figure." He shrugged his shoulders. "Though I wouldn't mind being Seungmin seeing as though you guys are dating."
Minoh blinked in surprise. "What? I mean... sure. Right. Seungmin and I are totally dating."
"What do you mean by 'totally'?"
"I mean that he's my best friend."
"Oof. Friendzoned. Must suck for that guy."
Minho rolled his eyes, "Trust me, he dodged a bullet by being my just a friend. You do NOT want to be in a relationship with me."
Hyunjin raised his eyebrows. "Is that a challenge?"
"What the fuck bro, no." Minho gagged, "What are you doing here interacting with me anyway? Shoo! Go enjoy lunch with other popular playboys. Leave me alone."
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, "And he's back."
"Who's back?"
"Savage and cold Minho. According to the class, the closest you've shown any emotion in class is when you get tests or projects back. The last time you interacted with anyone our classmates on your own accord was never." Hyunjin said.
"Well fuck you too and leave me alone. I have reasons for acting so cold."
"I assumed as much.
Hyunjin sat in the seat next to Minoh. "So mind telling me why? Consider me your therapist friend."
"I have no need for a fucking therapist," Minho said as he stood up and started grabbing his stuff to leave the room.
"I just wanted to get to know you and be friends."
"The wall needs friends too. Talk to the wall. If you're lucky enough, they might talk cack to you," Minho growled while making a swift exit from Hyunjin once again.
"Goddamn it," Hyunjin groaned while slamming his head on the table, This was going to be a lot harder than he thought.
