Chapter 6

     The first thing Minho heard when he entered the classroom was an overly happy voice asking how his day was. The voice belonged to Hyunjin in case anyone was surprised.

     "Terrible now that you're talking to me," Minho replied, stalking past Hyunjin to make his way to his usual seat.

     Confidence broken, Hyunjin just stared at Minho's retreating figure while wondering what he could've possibly done to him. He thought that maybe Minho would be nicer after their encounter the previous night.

     When class finally ended, Hyunjin basically ran from the room. He was so disturbed, he didn't realize he walked into the cafeteria or who he walked past.

     "Oi! Hyunjin! right? How are you today? Better than yesterday?" A somewhat familiar deep voice asked right behind Hyunjin.

     Caught off guard, Hyunjin jumped away from the voice and dropped onto the floor.

     "Yea, I'm doing a lot better," squeaked Hyunjin, still shaken from the surprise. "I thought it through last night and realized I might have overthought everything... or misunderstood."

     "I mean, as long as you're feeling better." Felix nodded sagely as if he was mentoring a youngster.

     Hyunjin stood from the floor and prepared to leave before being thrown off by Feli's next question.

     "You seemed bothered today though. Are you okay? Did something happen earlier?"

     "I... uh... it's just this guy in my class that I'm trying to become friends with but always pushes me away.... today he was especially snappy and I thought I did something wrong."

     "Ha... that sounds a lot like someone I know. What's his-"

     "LIX! Do you know what's taking him so long?" The puppy boy walked over to where the two were conversing and stopped beside Felix.

     "He might still be listening to music or he went to the library or roof again," Felix said to the puppy boy who clearly wasn't listening to him.

      "Oh! You're Hyunjin! Do you also go to this college too?" He asked the confused Hyunjin.

     "Uh... yeah... I transferred here yesterday. I'm new."

     "That's cool. Did you have a class this morning?"

     "Yea... did you guys...?"

     "Nah. We're here to have lunch with our roommate who may or may not show up."

     "Did you even listen to my answer?" Felix cut in.

     "No," the boy said with a shit-eating grin, "was I supposed to?"

     "Well! Obviously yes! Otherwise-"

     "What are you guys doing here still?" A new voice cut in. The figure strode over to the group to stand beside the puppy. "I thought we said we were going to wait OUTSIDE the cafeteria?"

     Puppy boy turned around and glared at the boy. "Well we came early 'cause we know how much you hate to wait and decided to take a seat in the cafeteria because Lixie here is a lazy ass. Turns out, you're the late one. Then we met Han Jisung's roommate." He said gesturing to Hyunjin.

     "Han Jisung again? Geez. Should I be worried that he's taking my best friends away from me?" the boy said while turning to face Hyunjin.

     Both boys stared at each other in shock.

     "Hyunjin?"

     "Minho?"

     Minho quickly collected himself as Hyunjin continued to gape at him. Snippets of the previous night's story rushed through his head again.

     The atmosphere grew awkward as both boys were determined to look anywhere but at each other.

     Seungmin decided that he had enough shit from both of his roommates to last him a lifetime.

     "Oh wow. It looks like the both of you already know each other! Let's all have lunch together. How about we go off campus today to celebrate the fact that Minho knows someone else's name that isn't mine or Felix's," Seungmin said robotically and very sarcastically.

     "Oh no! I shouldn't! " Hyunjin said, "I-"

     "I'll pay." Seungmin said.

     "I still-"

     "I insist you come with us! It'll be fun. Maybe this hermit can finally have some new friends!"

     "Well-"

     "Say yes Hyunjin." Felix cut in. "Or he'll probably just kidnap you. That kid knows how to get what he wants. Even Minho listens to him."

     "Alright fine. I'll go."

     "Is it good with you? Minho?" Seungmin said turning to face the boy.

     The boy glared at Seungmin. "so NOW you ask for my input?"

     "You love me, baby. I know you'll just agree anyways. Plus, it's not like you have another choice."

     "I hate you."

     "No you don't!"

     "You're right! I don't hate you. I just despise your guts at the moment and wish to take all your vital organs and disperse them all over the cafeteria so the entire student body can see that Mr. bigshot isn't who he says he is." Minho said, glaring into Seungmin's eyes.

     "Did you hear that Felix?" Seungmin asked, nudging the said boy, "if I'm murdered, blame this jerk."

     "Screw you! I'm choosing the place," Minho said turning around and marching out of the cafeteria.

     "Hey! No fair! It should at least be a consensus! Or a democracy! Or like... majority!" Felix screamed while running after Minho.

     Hyunjin watched Felix turn the corner with a bemused expression on his face. Minho was definitely a puzzle to solve.

     "Now you know what type of shit I have to live with every day." Seungmin groaned from beside Hyunjin. "I don't think I've ever introduced myself to you." He paused to take a deep breath. "Hyunjin, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Seungmin. Harm a single hair on any of my roommates' head and you'll wish you were never born."

     Hyunjin gulped in fear. Feeling pressured, he said the first thought that entered his mind. "You're Minho's almost-boyfriend?"

     "Ha! Hyunjin baby, we're way past the almost dating phase." Seungmin leaned close to Hyunjin's ear. "We're married."

     Seungmin pulled back with a satisfied smirk when he sensed that Hyunjin stiffened. The boy just watched Seungmin in shock.

     "C'mon, we'll be lost if we don't catch up to the crackheads." With that, Seungmin dragged Hyunjin out of the cafeteria, towards the shouts of Felix.
