For Jane Hopper (formerly Ives) aka Eleven keeping the secret that [Y/N] was back was hard. It had to have been the biggest secret she had to keep besides the Upside Down and her powers. When she got to Hawkins High School, she found the boys and Max already walking into the school.

"Hi, guys." she said smiling at them.

"Hey, El. What classes do you have?" Max asked.

"English 9, French 2, Earth Science, Honors World History, Home Ec, lunch, Geometry, and PE." Eleven told her as Max peered over her shoulder.

"You and Will and Dustin French together. Dustin and you share English. We have PE and Home Ec together."

"We all have PE and Home Ec together, Max." Mike told her. "It's the only classes I have with any of you. I'm in all honors."

"How?" asked Dustin.

"No idea." Mike replied.

"We meeting in the AV room during lunch?" asked Lucas.

"Yeah, and after school, we're totally not going to look for [Y/N]." Dustin said smirking.

Yeah right. None of them knew that [Y/N] was back. Eleven did, and she wanted to  desperstely to tell them. But Hopper wanted all of them to attend their first day of school. And as her only family, the only true family she had ever known, she kept her promise to not tell them. But it was eating away at her conscience. Eleven managed to make it to Home Ec when she finally cracked.

The teacher had assigned them seats and she sat at a table next to Max with the rest of the party spread out throughout the room. They were going over rules of the kitchen when she did.

"Max, there's something you should know." Eleven told her.

"What is it?" asked Max.

"I know where [Y/N] is. Hopper - dad - found her in her shed because her cat was acting weird. It was late, and I know I should have told you, but I made dad a promise to not tell you until we got to the hospital." Eleven told her.

"Really? Now? You tell me this now?" Max raised an eyebrow at her.

"We have fifty minutes for lunch! Just be grateful I told you before then!" exclaimed Eleven.

Max turned towards where Mike was, in the very back of the class sitting alone at a table. He looked bored and he kepr glancing at the seat beside him. Where she most likely would have been. Eleven looked to where Max was looking, the empty seat next to Mike. Max looked over towards Lucas and mouthed Emergency as Eleven found Dustin and Will (who were near one another) and mouthed the same thing.

Lucas turned around to Mike and mouthed the same thing to him. Mike nodded on instinct as his mind was  somewhere else. On someone else. Something else other than this. As soon as the bell rang for lunch, the party went to the AV room where they were almost immediately.

"So, what's the emergency?" asked Lucas as they trailed into the room.

"It's not an emergency. More like something urgent." explained Max.
