Between the here, between the now
Between the North, between the South
Between the West, between the East
Between the time, between the placeFrom the shell
The song of the sea
Neither quiet nor calm
Searching for love againTime was slow as soft lyrics flew on the breeze, reaching the ears of a young girl. A small smile graced her lips as she ran towards the sound of her mother's voice. "Momma!" She squealed, running Into her mother's legs and squeezing them. An angelic laugh greeted her ears. "Hello, my darling. How I've missed you." The little girl laughed. "I missed you too, momma! Daddy is waiting for you, we've all been waiting for you to come back!" The innocent child beamed, receiving a soft chuckle from her mother. "Darling I-" She began, only to be cut off as the beautifully peaceful landscape suddenly fell apart and faded into a battlefield. "-I love you." A weeping teenager cried, holding her mother's camo clad body close to her for the last time. The sounds of battle raged around them, as the girl sat in a daze as if time had paused around her. "I love you too." A whisper came in the wind...

Sitting up quickly in bed, a young woman wiped away the tears that had been streaming down her cheeks. That was the third time she had had that dream this week. Nothing made sense. She hadn't had one this vivid ever. Never had she felt the sorrow so fully, nor felt the warm embrace of a loving mother that wasn't her own. She never saw the woman's face, only the girl's. But there was something in her heart that told her that the girl had something to do with her. "I'm being silly. I can't possibly know something like that. It only exists in fairytales." She said to herself, looking at the time. She groaned when she noticed that she had woken up exactly at 4:30, yet again. "Better get ready, then." She grumbled, getting up and setting out her outfit for the day. Turning on her music, she is startled when a familiar song blasts from the speakers. "Between the here, Between the now..." In a sense of deja vu, she immediately paused the music as she had a slight panic attack. "Oh goodness, what was that?" She hissed to herself, quickly shuffling the music. Taking a few deep breaths, she calmed herself down and began her morning routine. A young man walked through the forest... She danced lightly as she brushed through her hair, not realizing that her music had shut off or that the music she heard was not recorded. With his quiver and hunting bow... She stopped dancing when she realized that she was hearing a male singing, not Erutan. Whirling around, she saw a black and white figure staring straight at her.
