The Man in the Coat: Book 1 Chapter 8

"Who am I? Hmph, you should remember me, Shun." The man said. His eyes reminded him of a familiar person, and his posture reminded him of something in the past.

"Y-You... no way..." Adam muttered. "Y-You disappeared! How?!"

"I see some of you guys remember. But some are a tad unfamiliar." The man said.

"Who are you though?!" Masami exclaimed. The man raised his hand in defense.

"I will explain everything later. Meet me at the imfirmary. I checked that it wasn't destroyed after the recent attack. I need everyone to heal." He said. He jumped off the wall, his coat revealing a manuver gear as he went flying.

"No way..." Quentin gasped.

"What's happening?! Who was he?! What the heck is happening!?" Aya screamed, pulling on her hair.

"Calm down. Remember he will explain everything at the infirmary. But remember his facial features." Ty hinted. He grabbed Jason's body and jumped, his hair flying. He used his manuver gear and followed the man. Adam, Quentin, Mitch, Jerome, Ian, and Alesa followed, Alesa taking a little longer.

"T-There is... why?!" Togami exclaimed, his expression pist. "He disappeared years ago!"

"You tell me! We were childhood friends." Naegi added, frowning.

"Quiet you two. Let's all head to the imfirmary and see what he wants." Kirigiri said, taking Junho's body and jumping off the wall.

"Shun... is it bad that we, and only we, know who that man is?" Naiemi asked. Shun stood there dumbstruck. He stared at Aura's body. Meme picked her up with a frown.

"You factorers better get there. I'm taking Aura for a ride to the imfirmary." Masami scoffed, not looking at the two. He jumped off and headed to the imfirmary. The others followed, and lastly Naiemi and Shun. They both stared at the sunset, for a day is ending, and a battle was over. But it wasn't the end.

"Why did he come back... he disappeared when the Monokuma's first attacked." Naiemi sighed. Shun grabbed an object out of his pocket, and opened his hand.

"A braclet he gave me... to protect Aura." He said.

"W-We should go. Before... another attack comes." Naiemi suggested quickly as she jumped off the wall and landed on the ground safely. Shun stared at the sunset one more time, and followed Naiemi down to the imfirmary.

The man waited, tapping his foot impatiently. He had been a refuge ever since they have first attacked.

"We're here!" Adam called, Jason's body in his arms. He let Jason rest on one of the beds, and Alesa to a healing station to wrap cast around her arm.

"Where have you been?! You have been one of our top cadets, and you disappeared! Your daughter doesn't even remember you." Ty scoffed.

"I-I was scared... for my daughter to be killed by the beasts." He responded.

"You aren't the only one who's scared about a future cadet that is a loved one." Kyoko added, walking into the room with Junho, Naegi, Togami, and Genocider.

"Kahahaha! Pretty Mr. Mystery didn't even say 'Stay Safe' to his girl!" Genocider laughed. She sneezed, and Fukawa snapped out of it, dropping the scissors she had. She looked around wearily, and saw the man in the coat, looking at her.

"Y-You!" She screamed, pointing at the man.

"Can I just explain when everyone is here?..." the man pleaded.
