"Aura you know that's dangerous. You could get yourself killed." Shun gasped, frowning.

"But haven't you ever wondered what the outside world looks like? Not only are there beasts, but there's freedom. There's nothing we can do in these crappy walls." Aura said.

"You sound like Naiemi. Plus, if your dad were here, I wouldn't have a clue on what he would say." Shun sighed.

"He's gone. He wouldn't care what choices I choose. I wouldn't even know what he'd say. He left when I was born." Aura hung her head as they entered Aura's cottage.

"There you kids are. I assume you found lots of sticks and rocks for our fireplace?" Aura's mom smiled. They dumped the rocks and sticks into the fireplace and a small compartment. Aura sat down at the table as she pokes her food her mother made. Her mom walks up to her and pinches her cheek.

"Why so glum?" She asked.

"It's nothing. Adam and his team barely made it..." Aura lied.

"Adam is back? Oh dear, did he look okay?"

"He's fine. But just by the looks of it he lost his friends." Shun responded, walking next to Aura. Her mom went back to cooking as there was a dead silence.

Until Shun destroyed it.

"Aura wants to join the Soldiers of Sai." He blurted. Aura shivered, her spine tingling. Her mother looked over to her.

"Now what did I tell you about joining that disgrace?!" She exclaimed.

"Mom, if I join the Soldiers of Sai, we can be able to get some new information about the beasts out there in the world." Aura debated. Her mom slammed the desk and faced Aura.

"Aura Ceoh you are not going to join those soldiers." Aura got up and ran outside. Her mother and Shun stood outside at the balcony.

"Shun, please go find her and promise me to keep her safe."

"I will." Shun hopped off the stairs and ran after Aura.

"C'mere you wimp!" A boy said. He was taller than Naiemi as she was backed up to a wall.

"Stop!" Naiemi wailed.

"You're just weak!" One snarled, taking the art book she had and dropped it on the floor. Naiemi shivered as a distance voice called out to them.

"Hey leave her alone!" Aura screamed.

"Oh looks like Ceoh here wants to start another fight!" One of them exclaimed. They saw Shun behind her and they ran.

"Oh god, not Tanamura..." one mumbled. Naiemi fell on the floor, her face scratched and bruised. Her neck seemed to be bruised as well.

(Pffft, i'm a horrible person.)

"Naimei are you okay?"

"Y-yeah... i'm fine." Naiemi answered, grabbing her sketchbook they threw.

"Alright, let's go." Shun called. The two followed as a thumping noise was heard. Everyone froze, the ground shaking. Everyone saw the giant beast of a bear, ready to swing. It laughed, as it broke down the gate door. Everyone panicked, the beasts now available to walk into the walls and eat there hearts out.

"MOM!" Aura cried, running to her cottage. Sun followed her in order to keep her safe.

I'm almost there...its just a corner away... Aura thought. But when she turned, she saw a beast with a figure in its hand.

"NO!"

The beast went in to eat as blood was everywhere. Adam ran to them and grabbed them.

"Adam!" Shun said, fixing his hood.

"No time, your mother told me to bring you to the inner gate." Adam said as tears started forming in Aura's eyes.
