Neo's P.O.V
The wind whistled through the alleyway as I strolled towards a lonely looking warehouse. This was the rendezvous point that Cinder had arranged to meet.
Or at least I think it is. All the warehouses kind of look the same around these parts.
Sighing I decided to just wait outside like she told me and just hope I was in the right place.
Normally I don't perform 'errands' around this part of Vale. I usually operate in the classier side of town where all the high payers are at.
Work is quite interesting over there. Clients ask me to do the most peculiar things. Robberies (usually Dust), torturing for information, kidnappings... heck I have even assassinated the old general so that Ironwood could take his position.
Now that one was a good pay day.
Sometimes though if I'm bored, I might do a little cold blooded murder to pass the time. No judging please.
Yes I'm sadistic. Maybe you could even dubb me a little psychotic. But I love my job and I do it well.
Besides life gets so dull when you can't talk.
Yes I'm a mute and no I am not one of those emotional wimps that chose not to talk.
I literally cannot make a single sound. Which is unbelievably frustrating but what can you do. Using gestures and keeping my scroll at the ready usually does the trick.
Twirling Frozen Delight, my weapon (I don't know the name of her weapon. Soz fellow RWBY Fans😉 ), I continued to wait. This better be good. Cinder was lucky I was quite fond of money and crime, two of her offerings. If she added in ice cream that would have sealed the deal.
I have a soft spot for ice cream, particularly Neopolitian, ironic as it is. Shhhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone. it would ruin my reputation.
But man I could seriously kill for some ice cream right now. It soothes my unrelenting impatience that stems out of boredom.
Foot steps pulled me out of my longings and I glanced up to the fiery eyes of Cinder Fall, my new client.
"Neopolitan.." I nod, "your accomplice will be out here shortly." With that she walked off to the hidden carrier I had even failed to notice before. Hmmm. Smart and professional. I like it. Two others followed suit, a grey haired boy and a green haired girl. The boy looked back with a cocky smirk, lustful appreciation glinting in his grey eyes. This did not go by unnoticed by the girl, who directed a spiteful jealous glare from her crimson eyes in my direction.
I rolled my eyes. I was used to this.
Because of my looks, boys wanted me and girls despised me.
Because I'm a mute, guys thought they could take advantage of me and girls called me a freak.
Oh well. I doesn't bother me. It wasn't like I couldn't kick all their asses if it got irritating.
Or I could murder them... now that sounds fun.
I blew a kiss to irritate her, smirking when I earned a growl. Mentally throwing up when the guy winked suggestively.
Red Eyes would have loved to tear me to pieces right then and there, had she not been put in her place with Cinder's cold glare of warning.
My smirk grows. I think I like this women's style. I can appreciate it when someone has installed enough fear into the hearts of those who follow her, to be able to subdue them with a mere look.
A condescending voice brought me out of my revere.
"You're Neopolitan?! Excuse me if I'm a little blunt or obnoxious, but you hardly look competent, let alone skilled enough to accompany me."
So this was my accomplice. Sounds confident, a little too condescending though and he doesn't even know I'm a mute. A smart mouth too. Well he won't be talking smart for long.
Smirking I turn around to put this fool in his place.
