It was June 20th and your brother was due to come home from the Army tomorrow. You were so excited since you haven't seen him in 2 years. SAMCRO was nice enough to help you set up a barbecue since Josh had been a Son up until he left. He was still well respected. It was around two o'clock when two soldiers in uniform entered the clubhouse.

"We're looking for a Y/F/N"

"That's me" you said stepping forward.

"We are sorry to inform you that your brother Josh was killed in action yesterday. We know he was supposed to come home tomorrow. He had written you a letter in case he didn't make it back along with his dog tags, some pictures, and his phone. We are deeply sorry. Josh was a great man and a hell of a good soldier." The two men spoke before giving you a brief hug then leaving. You screamed as tears fell down your face and fell to your knees. All of SAMCRO came bursting out from church or from outside.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE WAS SUPPOSED TO COME HOME TOMORROW!!!!! HE WAS ONLY 22!" you screamed out. Your chest hurting from the pain you were feeling. Tig came over and sat down on the floor next to you pulling you into his arms.

"Shh it's going to be okay. It will take a while but you'll be alright. You have us for anything you need baby." Tig said gently rocking you side to side, one hand on your cheek and the other around your back. SAMCRO was devastated because Josh was one of the most trusted Sons and well respected. You eventually calmed down and stood up with Tig's help.

"I...I have to go get the funeral arrangements made. I want to get it out of the way." You said letting go of Tig. You left and drove to the funeral home. After an hour of making sure the preparations were in order, you drove back to the clubhouse feeling numb. SAMCRO was going to hold their own funeral for him. The funeral home would bring the hurst to the clubhouse tomorrow along with the military Cadillacs. You just wanted this to be over with. Josh was the only true family that you had left and now he was gone. Chucky made sure to have two shots of whiskey ready and you downed them without an ounce of hesitation. He then just handed you the bottle. It was now 4:30 and you were already done and exhausted. Not caring what others thought or had to say, the bottles of alcohol kept emptying. You were barely awake when you heard Tig from beside you.

"I got her Chucky. She's gotta rest for tomorrow. God knows she's going to need it." You felt Tig lift you up bridal style and carry you back to his room, placing you on his bed. Once he pulled the covers up over you he went to leave. Your hand quickly reached out and grabbed his.

"Stay with me please. I don't want to be alone tonight." you sobbed quietly. Tig didn't have the heart to say no, so he did as he was asked. Once his boots, kutte, and bracelets were off he got under the covers and pulled you as close as he could letting your head rest on his chest and your arm resting in front of your face. Tig's hand reached up and grabbed your hand pressing a kiss still holding your hand. Sleep quickly overtook you. Tig layed awake for a few more minutes thinking about Josh. They were pretty close friends and Josh always wanted them together. Josh always knew that if or when it came down to it, Tig would take great care of Y/N. Soon Tig fell asleep too.

~The next day~

The whole town was aware of Josh's death. Charming had never been so devastated or quiet before. The funeral home had called that morning around 9 and said that they would be at the clubhouse within an hour which would be at 10. The SAMCRO members had reached out to the other charters and they had showed up as well. The biggest shocker to SAMCRO was that the Mayans had showed up too. Josh had been friends with Marcus and well respected shockingly.

"Hey Y/N I'm really sorry to hear about Josh. He was like a brother to me. Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything at all." Marcus said pulling you into a hug.

"Josh had a picture of all of us together. He wanted you to have it." You said softly smiling.

"SAMCRO listen up!" Clay's loud voice boomed out over the noise.

"I wanted to say thank you to everyone in this room who showed up to support not just a man that was my brother, but your brother as well, and a soldier of SAMCRO and of our country. I love my brother a lot and he would be extremely proud of us all. TO JOSH!!!!" You said with your voice trembling slightly as you raised your beer up. "TO JOSH!" everyone else yelled raising their beers as well. The funeral home men showed up and gave Funeral magnets to everyone who was riding their motorcycles. Walking over to your motorcycle, you placed the magnet on the front. Tears started streaming down your face once again because reality was just now hitting you. Grabbing the helmet off of the handlebar, you sat on your motorcycle and put the helmet on snapping the strap under your chin. You looked around and everyone was ready. Tig would be on your right with Clay and Marcus behind you both. The Army Cadillacs would be escorting everyone. Everyone made it to the cemetery and parked their vehicles. Turning your bike off, you removed your helmet and placed it back onto the handlebar. There was a screen with slideshows playing from pictures of when he was younger to him and you, him with the club including Marcus, and him in military training and the actual Army. The tears started pouring out again. Tig noticed and walked over to wrap his arms around you. Everything seemed to fly by and it was now your speech time.

"Josh was my brother and my best friend. He was always there for me when I needed someone and vice versa. After our parents died, we looked after each other and now I don't have that. Josh was a brother to the SAMCRO club and to the Mayans as well as to the other soldiers that are defending our country. Josh, I know you're up there in a better place, looking down on us and protecting us. You were the best brother a girl could ever ask for. I don't know how to do this without you." You started sobbing as did everyone else. You felt an arm wrap around your side. Looking up, you seen Tig, Chibs, Jax, Clay, and Marcus up there with you. You were pulled into a group hug and let them lead you back to your seat. A military man came up to you and handed you a folded up flag along with an envelope containing the pictures from his boot camp training and in the actual Army. The guards lined up and twenty-one gunshots rang out. Each one made you continue to cry. You made your way up to the casket and placed a rose down before kissing his casket.

"I love you Josh. No matter where I am, you'll always be with me and be my brother. I never thought that this would be the way you would go out. I'm blessed and proud that you were my brother and nobody else. Rest easy brother." You said before walking away to let everyone else have their closure and pay their respects. Clay and Gemma made their way over.

"That speech was beautiful sweetheart. It couldn't of been better said. Josh would be proud of you. Never forget that." Gemma's sweet motherly tone spoke. A little smile appeared on your face. Everyone came up to say their condolences before leaving. Pretty soon it was only you, Tig, Chibs, Clay and Gemma, Jax and Tara, and Marcus. Wrapping an arm around Tig and the other around Marcus, you all made your way back to the vehicles.

"This is going to be hard but I'm really glad I have you guys as my other family. I'll be alright one way or another. Josh was right about two things, the first one is what I said about you guys being my other family, and the other is that Tiggy here will take care of me. He always said we would eventually get closer. I love you guys."

"We love you too" Marcus spoke with a faint smile on his face.

"Your brother knew way to much shit. He totally knew I would make a move on you before it even happened. At least I got to be in bed with you last night" Tig said winking at you.

"Dammit Tig!!!" You exclaimed.
