Chapter-12

"Do you remember this place?" Neil asked Avni while walking ahead of her.
"How can I forget? This is the place where we met for the first time but why it is so dark here? " asked Avni.

Neil clicked his fingers and suddenly the whole place lightened up. Avni was awestruck by the ethereal beauty of that place. The fairly lights on the trees and the lanterns in the pathway were just adding to its beauty.

The night light of the moon was falling on the water causing it to sparkle just like a diamond. But something else in the water caught her attention.

At first she couldn't see it clearly but as the water became still, she could see the 3 magical words shining under the water surface.
She couldn't believe her eyes, it was the most magnificent view for her.

Her eyes got fixed on Neil who was on his knees and was looking at her with a smile on his face.
"Avni I have always wanted to say these words to you. You have been a constant source of light in my dark world. Don't know the exact timing or the exact place when I fell in love with you but I know one thing for sure that I want you besides me forever.
I want to be the reason behind your smile.
Avni, as the sea never leaves its shore, I want to hold your hand and walk beside you till infinity.
Will you give me the honor of being the man of your life and loving you till my last breath?
Will you accept me with all my flaws and become Mrs. Avni Neil Khanna?
Will you marry me? " he said.

It was like a dream for Avni. She made him stand and hugged him with all her might.
She cupped his face and said," I love just the way you are Mr. Neil Khanna and I'd love to be Mrs. Avni Neil Khanna. "

He couldn't control the tears that made their way through his eyes. He kissed her forehead, her eyes and promised to be with her forever.

"Avni there is one more surprise for you", he said to which Avni replied," Neil I'm tired. I want to sleep."

"Okay, this is the last one I promise " he said.

He took her to the Castle. Avni was walking ahead of Neil but when she looked back she didn't found him. She went inside hoping to find him there but instead she found a white rose with a note attached to it. She picked it up and opened it.
It read :-

I never thought that I could be in love but you came in my life and it has made all the difference.

She smiled while reading it. She went up the staircase and found a yellow rose with a note attached to it. It read :-

Avni, you are truly a gem. Thanks for coming in my life and making it even more brighter just like this.

As soon as she finished reading the whole staircase lightened up making her feel like a princess.
As she walked further a shower of rose petals descended on her. 'This man is truly amazing' she thought. Her love for Neil increased ten folds if even that was possible.
She couldn't imagine this kind of surprise even in her dreams. She was thanking her stars for sending Neil in her life.

At the end of the staircase she found a red rose with a note attached.

To my one and only love Avni,
I was happy but when you came in my life I realized that I could be even more happier.

She was having tears in her eyes by now. She read further :

Now, Cinderella what are you waiting for? Walk 20 steps to your left, your prince charming is waiting for you.

Like an obedient girl, Avni followed the instructions. She found a big wooden door, she opened it and was completely flabbergasted by the view in front of her.
It was the most lavish room she had ever seen with a fountain and a small pond.

She went towards the balcony, the view from there was breathtaking.
She was feeling like a princess who has been transported to the medieval period.

She just wanted to see Neil and hug him tight, she heard footsteps behind her and turned to find him, the reason of her happiness standing there with his evergreen smile.

She hugged him with so much force that he stumbled a bit but he held her tightly.
"I love you so much. Thanks for everything" she said.
Neil kissed her hairs and softly whispered "I love you too baby. "

After what seemed like eternity Avni broke the hug, "Neil how come I've never been in this room before? " she asked him.

"Avni this is my personal room, nobody comes here except me. But now officially this is our room", he said with a cheeky grin to which Avni could only roll her eyes.
He inched closer towards her, she was feeling nervous.
He picked her up in a bridal style and tucked her in the bed. He kissed on her forehead and said, "Goodnight to be wifey."
He then slept cuddling her.

The both were sleeping peacefully unaware of the storm that was about to turn their lives upside down.
