[ begin. ]
the lunch passes by actually pretty slowly as they all, even yeosang somewhat, engage is meaningful conversation, getting to know one another. when there's only five minutes left of lunch, wooyoung turns to yeosang.
"yeosang, you're good with poetry, right? i always see you with that poetry book," he asks.
yeosang nods, "yeah, i love poetry. what about it?"
at this point, everyone else is listening to their conversation.
"well, i know the paper isn't due for two and a half weeks, but i was wondering if you could maybe help me? like, help me analyze the poems and revise my writing. if you have any time, that is!"
"yeah, i can help you during lunchtime?" yeosang offers.
"you're into poetry?" hongjoong asks, seriously curious.
"mhmm. i like to read it and even write it sometimes," the shy boy admits.
"that's cool! not many people are into poetry these days it seems. especially not people me around our age," hongjoong dives into a mini discussion with yeosang about poetry.
finally, the bell rings.
"hey yeosang, would you mind helping me out, too?" san asks, his eyes pleading. "i don't understand poetry at all.
"me neither. i swear it makes no sense," mingi adds.
"for real, how does it make any sense?" yunho pipes in.
"you have to learn the certain rhythms that poets use and get used to their diction choice. then it will start making sense," yeosang explains thoughtfully.
"sucks that you guys have to write a paper for english! my teacher is out sick so we have a sub and keep watching documentaries and taking notes," jongho taunts.
"can you maybe help us all out?" yunho asks, scratching the back of his neck. "please, if it's not too much trouble."
yeosang's nods and the boys cheer and express their gratitude.
as the boys walk out of the library, though not yeosang as he has his aid period, one stays behind.
seonghwa.
"would you be able to help me and joong as well?"
"yeah," yeosang agrees, trying to keep the conversation short.
"well, we can't come when the others come because our assignment is a bit different as we're in a different grade and have a different english teacher," seonghwa explains.
"oh, um. i don't know when i'll be able to help you then. i don't get ever to school early and i work after school."
"where do you work?"
"at my flower shop," yeosang answers quickly.
"do you think- maybe could we stop by there and get help?"
yeosang mulls it over for a second. "yeah, it's not ever that busy anyways."
"okay, great. thank you so much, i have to get to class!" the tall boy runs off.
how is one pretty boy so intimidating?
yeosang likes the way seonghwa dresses. he looks smart and impressive, but so relaxed and casual all at once. it suits his light-hearted personality. everything about him fits, except for maybe his intense gaze. he is overall mellow, but his gaze is just so striking and captivating.
seonghwa's eyes are pretty, it's a shame i can hardly look him in the eye for two seconds.
