*Ashton's pov*

As I packed up my stuff for the day my phone began to ring lighting up a picture of Lauren instantly causing me to answer and put her on speaker as I packed my office up

"Hello is everything okay?" I asked picking up

"Ash, she's got worse." She instantly replied making my heart sink knowing she was talking about mum "the doctors said she has 3 months left if she's lucky and that they still don't know what is causing this" she said sounding like she was trying not to cry

"What happened to 6 months left, how do they not know they're qualified doctors" I snapped as she sighed

"You need to come home Ashton she wants me you and Harry with her all the time just in case she goes" she replied as I ran my hands through my hair

"It's not that easy for me to drop things and fly to Australia Lauren"

"I know Ashton but please, I've come home from uni for this to help with Harry so please just come home for not only mum but me and your brother" she snapped slightly as I put my jacket

"I'll see what I can do and I'll message you later I love you okay"

"Speak to you later bye"

*nicky's pov*

"How was work" I asked Ashton as he walked through the front door

"It was okay thank you baby"he said hugging me tightly "did you see kensie today?" He asked as I nodded in his chest taking in his usual sent

"I have something to tell you" I said putting my hand in my jacket pocket feeling the test in my hand and began walking into the front room

"Funnily enough so do I" he said siting down on the sofa pulling me onto his lap so we could cuddle

"You go first daddy" I stated as he raised his eyebrows

"You sure you don't want to go first" he asked as I nodded "okay well tomorrow I have a flight to Australia" he said as my head shot up making me look at his broken face "my mum has about 3 months left and Lauren and Harry need me over there they're both so young I can't let them go through this alone" he said getting emotional as I tightly hugged him wanting all the pain he had to go away "the flight is early in the morning so I need to pack"

"Don't you mean we need to pack" I softly said as he played with the ends of my hair

"Baby I'm sorry but you need to stay here and help with the business for a bit. I don't want you to meet my mother on her death bed and my siblings when they are hurting" he said as I nodded "I need someone to supervise my business and I trust you the most so if you could do that Nicky it would be amazing"

"Promise me you'll call me every day" I asked as he nodded

"Of course don't be silly!" He replied before lifting me up and making his way upstairs with me in his arms

"Where are we going?" I asked trying to act sweet and innocent

"Do you really think I'm going to waist my last night with you for a while chatting on the sofa downstairs"

The time couldn't have gone any quicker and even still I was stood in the bathroom looking at the plastic stick telling me I was over a week pregnant. I couldn't tell Ashton now he's already going through so much with his mum and a possibly unwanted baby would cause so much more drama and stress. Suddenly a knock was heard on the bathroom door distracting me from my thoughts

"Baby my cab is here I need a hug before I go" I heard Ashton say as I hid the test in a draw and opened the door hugging him as tight as possible as a tear left my eye. I was scared. Scared to be without him for 3 months. Scared to be pregnant. Scared to run his company for 3 months and scared for how he would cope after his mother departs from us. "Oh baby please don't cry" he said wiping my tears off my face

"I'm going to miss you"

"It's only 3 months princes it will be over before you know it I promise" he stated grabbing my hand and walking me to the front door where kensie was stood "I thought a bit of company would be good for today" he stated as I nodded and smiled "I love you Nicky okay you've got this, you'll be fine without me I believe in you my love" he said before kissing me and turning around to run into his cab to the airport

"I love you too" I replied as he drove off and I closed the heavy doors of the building instantly feeling kensie glare at me as I walked to the front room

"Nicky you didn't tell him did you?" She asked as I shook my head

"I couldn't. He has too much on his plate right now I just didn't know when or how to tell him kensie" I said sighing and sitting down on the sofa

"You should of told him Nicky"

"I know kensie I'm not stupid I just panicked"
