He laughs, clearly noticing the blush on my face. I set my book down and rest my elbows on my knees, holding my chin up. I watch him as he walks over, taking a seat beside me.

I turn my head to look at him and his brown eyes scan my face. The sunlight bouncing off of them, makes my knees go weak.

He wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me into him. I inhale the strong scent of his cologne and melt into him.

"You okay?" He asks, his voice soft.

"I always am when I'm with you." I say truthfully. I don't know what I would have done this past week without him.

He looks at his watch and sighs, "Sadly I won't be here long. We have an interview that was pushed up a few hours. I just wanted to come here and see you once more before the show."

I sit up, his arm still wrapped around me. "Well thanks for coming to see me." I say.

He smiles and leans in, kissing me gently. I'm hungry for more, but I don't push it. Especially when anyone could have just seen us kiss if they were looking out the window.

We walk back into the house and everyone is seated in the living room chatting. Joe joins them and I go into the kitchen to get a drink.

I'm pouring a glass of cranberry juice when Nick walks in. He's smirking, one of his 'I know something' looks and i crinkle my nose at him.

"Joe told you?" I ask.

He nods, "it's about time one of you made a move. The sexual tension has been annoying."

I grin, shaking my head at him as I put the juice back in the fridge.

"But really, Joe was fucking annoyingly happy today. But he did keep forgetting the lyrics. I can't say that's  unusual for him though." He leans against the counter and looks over a platter of muffins someone had dropped off earlier this morning.

"True." I say, but I can't help remembering what Joe just told me outside.

"Well anyway, I'm happy if you two are happy."

"I mean we haven't really talked about anything, just going with the flow right now." I say.

"So you haven't told him that you're in love with him yet?"

My mouth drops open for a moment. "It didn't seem like the right time. I mean he just now admitted he has feelings for me."

"Gotcha." Nick says.

Joe enters the room then, ending our conversation. I take a sip of my drink as Joe tells Nick it's time for them to go.

"I'll let you two say goodbye." Nick says, winking at me before leaving the room.

"Ah, he told you that I told him." Joe says.

I nod and he smiles at me innocently. I laugh, "I didn't expect you not to tell your brothers."

"I know. But he didn't have to out me like that." He says but with a smile on his face.

I walk up to him and he opens his arms, letting me in. I hug his waist tightly and he rubs my back.

"I'll be back tonight. Late of course." He says.

I nod against his chest and we stay like that for a moment before letting go of each other.

"Have a good time." I say.

He cups my chin and brings my face to his, kissing me long and slow.

I hesitate opening my eyes as he's already backing away. I open them and he giggles at me. Kissing him is truly the best feeling.

The next day I say my goodbyes Jim and my dad before we head to Mexico.

"I'll see you soon dad." I tell him, hugging him tight.

"I know honey." He says.

When we pull apart, he shakes Joes hand and looks him right in the eyes, "Take care of my girl." He says.

"I will sir." Joe says.

Nick and Jim hug and I admire them from afar. It's been nice to see their friendship grow. Jim has really needed a brother through times like this.

I look back at my dad once more. I feel bad, leaving him like this. But he has Jim , and soon he will be back at his place in New York and I'll be able to visit him whenever I want. I just hope he knows how much I love him.

We fly to Mexico and go straight to the concert venue. It takes me only a few minutes to get back into the swing of things backstage. I fix up the back room with snacks like I used to do and it feels good to feel back to normal. Well, as normal as I can feel.

"Knock knock." Joe says, appearing in the doorway behind me.

"Hey." I say.

"I have a surprise for you." He says with a smile. M

"Oh yeah?"

I walk over to him and give him a hug. "I know it's your first day back on the job and all that, but I decided that you are gonna watch from the pit instead."

I smile wide, "Really?"

He nods and hands me a pit bracelet.

"Thanks. I could really use a good time." I admit. And who doesn't have a good time at a Jonas Brothers concert?

"Have fun out there." He says before kissing me on the cheek and leaving me alone once again.

I smile like a teenage girl at my bracelet, as if I haven't already watched the show a bunch of times. I'm going to have fun tonight.
