CHAPTER 6: Talk About A Close Call

Deku's POV:

"Kacchan put me down! We have to help Shoto!"

"I don't take orders from a prince who knows nothing about the world and who he is! So just shut up and enjoy the view."

"Why does everyone keep saying I'm a prince? I'm just a commoner with no magic."

"That's what I'm talking about. Right there you just said that you have no magic. No one told you about it because it's spiritual and that's a sign of Royalty in humans. Think back to when you were attacked yesterday. Do you remember the tree you were chained to?"

"Yeah it was dead and started to petrify."

"Exactly and it was the same one you slept under."

I was surprised and in disbelief because the tree I slept under was alive.

"Now do you get it? Your magic is unstable because you don't know how to use it."

"Unstable?"

"You used the life force of the men hunting you to bring the tree back to life."

"Gulp!"

"So before you can help anyone in a fight. You must gain control of your magic."

"Will you help me Kacchan?"

"I told you not to call me that deku."

"Deku!?"

Kirishima opens his mouth to say.

"I'll help you train."

At that moment I realized why I wasn't on his back. He grabbed my bag with his teeth. I started falling. The fear was so intense that I closed my eyes.

Bakugou's POV :

"YOU DUMBASS!"

"I'M SORRY!"

I start hitting kiri in the head.

"Think before you speak. Now go after him!"

He flys down in a nose dive and I grab Deku's hand. Pulling him close to me and on kiri's back. Deku's trembles as he clings to me. His arms wrapped around my waist. Even with the fear he's going threw. Deku isn't squeezing too tight. That action alone tells me that his heart is gentle and kind unlike most humans I've met.

"Listen! When we land I'll start your training."

Deku's head is against my back and I feel him nod yes.
