Luna awoke to the smell of fire smoke, slightly confused at first, but assumed it was just a fire in the hearth. She sat up slightly and rubbed the sleep from her eye before looking around. Her eyes widened in confusion.

She was lying on top of a roof overlooking the London port, Sebastians tail coat and overcoat serving as a makeshift pillow and blanket. She would have assumed it was some sort of dream or weird case of sleepwalking, but her mind was clear and she never slept walked.

She looked around again, confused, when she saw Sebastian standing on the edge of the roof. His back was to her and he was looking out over the city.

She moved the overcoat off of her and walked to his side. "Sebastian?"

She did not understand the look on his face. It was like a look of anger and indifference at the same time.

"I never understood why humans have gotten so mad when someone insults the one they love," Sebastian said before turning to face her, "until I met you. I almost wish I had not fallen for you because it hurt so much, but then I would have never known the joy it can bring. Now I know why humans are always complaining about it. Love bites."

"I know," she chuckled before hugging him around the waist and closed her eyes as she laid her head against his chest. "Trust me. I know." She felt his arms wrap around her and pull her closer.

After a moment, her brows knitted in confusion and her eyes snapped open. She looked back up at the raven haired man. "Sebastian, where is Ciel?"

"Still on his way back from Paris, I suppose," Sebastian replied, speaking like he was talking about the weather.

"You sent him back alone!?" she asked, her eyes wide with anger.

"No," Sebastian shook his head, making her sigh with relief. "I never told him we were leaving."

Her jaw dropped and her eyes nearly popped of her head. "You left him completely alone!? The boy can not even bathe himself, let alone find his way home!" She stepped out of his arms and took a few more back. "What were you thinking?"

"I was thinking that was going against the contract and had the audacity to say you were not worth caring about," Sebastian sighed.

"He was just trying to be strong! With you making fun of him every step of the way every time he shows even a scrap of emotion, it was kind of hard for him to actually say he did!" she yelled.

"So now all of this is my fault?" Sebastian asked angrily.

"If the white glove fits!" she said before beginning to walk away.

"Where do you think you are going?" Sebastian asked.

"To do my job and protect the Young Master. If you would like to do the same, you may join me," she explained before jumping off the roof and onto the next. When she was sure she was far enough away, she removed her glove and looked down at the gold mark on the back of her hand. "Alright, Ash. Let us see if what you and cocky queen said about my magic is right." She closed her eyes and concentrated on an image of Ciel. After a moment she felt a rush of wind and the ground disappeared from under her. She did not dare open her eyes, afraid of what she might see, until she touched ground again. When she did, she realized she was in the slums of Paris and wondered what Ciel would be doing here.

Looking around, she noticed the young lord sitting in an upright fetal position against the back of a shady shop. She smiled and went to go to him, but her feet did not seem to be working properly and she fell forward. After standing back up, she looked down, confused to see two small black paws.
