Lies and Secret in a Bliss

Act 3 Scene 4

Staying at the hospital for 3 days wasn't anything but fun. It was a great time since Olarotimi was always right beside her, his mum even came to visit her and she was glad things were actually going great for them.

When the bank heard of her accident, they gave her a week leave and she thought it would be boring but she thought wrong since Olarotimi made every second of it interesting ; sending her flowers and cards and sometimes he would visit her and spend the evening with her, take her out to see movies, to play in the park and they both had a great time together and their love grew stronger so it's always nice to be around each other.

        Their parents got introduced and they liked each other.
        After the week was over, Yetunde resumed work and the only way they could keep in contact was through calls and texts and most times it would be dinner date and every Saturday morning was spent together jogging it was a romantic love affair where everything felt good and great.

Mercy: before we would beg you to come to our parties.

Shewa: now we literally beg you to come spend time with us, it's been 2 months now and all that's keeping you from us is your boyfriend.

Yetunde:I'll try to see you on Saturday so how about we go on a trip to Lagos I have a business meeting there and we could have a great time together.

Grace: that sounds fun bye, we will see you soon.

Yetunde:Bye

              Meeting Olarotimi had been a wonderful experience for her, she never expected it and she was grateful to God for allowing her to meet a really nice man, she never believed a thing like this would happened to her after witnessing her Mum and Dad's relationship but God really brought joy into her life by allowing her to meet Olarotimi .

            Each moment Olarotimi spent with Yetunde has been a paradise on Earth to him, he was so overjoyed when he heard that she also loved him, he was grateful to God that it wasn't only him feeling that way and he was truly happy to be with the woman he loved, thank you Jesus he always says in his heart each time he saw her.

Olarotimi: so your dad, is he a military man?

Yetunde:of course not, I know you're nervous to meet him but I'm sure there's nothing to be worried about, he is going to like you.

Olarotimi: what if he doesn't?

Yetunde:he will, he has to because I love you.

Olarotimi: okay?

Yetunde: he is here,  good luck.

Yetunde's dad: hi baby girl ( hugging his daughter).

Yetunde: hey Dad, how are you?

Yetunde's dad: I've been well.

Olarotimi: good evening sir.

Yetunde: Dad, this is my boyfriend Olarotimi.

Yetunde's dad: Olarotimi, I've been hearing a lot about you, young man from my daughter, it's nice to finally meet you, so how old are you?

Olarotimi: twenty six.

Yetunde's dad: what's your job?

Olarotimi: I'm a petroleum engineer.

Yetunde's dad: so, are you rich?(Olarotimi didn't answer).

Yetunde's dad:I meant, rich enough,  to be able to take care of the apple of my eyes.

Olarotimi: yes sir, I'll do my best.

Yetunde:Dad stop it, stop questioning him, like he is asking you for my hand in marriage.

Yetunde's dad:you mean, he's not going to marry you, so, what's the point of being your boyfriend, are you two having sex?

Yetunde: no, Dad,  stop it.

Olarotimi:sure, if I were to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage, I will never let your daughter be sad, I will always make her happy and never cause her tears because I love her so much and I can't live without her. I promise to always make her happy.

Yetunde's dad: now, that's what I want, I like you son, you can have my daughter's hand in marriage but I have to go now. Nice meeting you.

Yetunde: but, dad,  we were going to have dinner with you.

Yetunde's dad: I'm sorry, my dear, daddy needs to go,  he has some work to do. Bye I love you (hugging his daughter).

Yetunde: I love you too, bye dad.

Yetunde's dad: bye, Olarotimi, take care of my daughter.

Olarotimi: I will, sir,  bye.

Yetunde: don't let what my dad say pressure you.

Olarotimi:well I've been thinking about it for a while now, but your father ruined the fun in asking you.

Yetunde: you wanted to make it special, I love you (smiling).

Olarotimi: I love you too, so, is it a yes or a no? (Smiling).

Yetunde: don't try to escape making it special, just try that again, someday not now sweetheart.

Olarotimi: yes sure.

Yetunde: I can't wait.

Olarotimi: me neither, so your birthday is next week, how would you like to mark it.

Yetunde: I was thinking of spending it with my family, friends and you.

Olarotimi: that isn't bad, so no party?

Yetunde: I threw one last year and it's just 25, so no party.

Olarotimi: okay.

There it was decided, there wasn't going to be a party but Yetunde's friends, her mum, her work colleagues, Olarotimi and his mum all planned a surprise birthday party for her, it was a great surprise and leaving her surprised and happy.

Yetunde: you really went behind my back and got this done.

Olarotimi:well I didn't,  it was all planned by everyone and I also did but it wasn't my idea, happy birthday sweetheart ( hugging her).

Yetunde: thanks(smiling).

It was a happy occasion, everyone was happy and even Yetunde's dad came.

Yetunde: if you'd like to see my bedroom come on.

Olarotimi: I've seen it before.

Yetunde: but you haven't seen my bed.

Olarotimi: you must be drunk, right?

Yetunde: not really, just wanted to test you.

Olarotimi: test me, for what yetunde?

Yetunde:it's unlike a man not to want to get a woman into his bed so I tested to see if you will.

Olarotimi: well I gave us space as any sensible man would.

Yetunde: yes sure but seriously do you want to see my bedroom.

Olarotimi: you really are drunk, how much did you take.

Yetunde: not more than a glass and I loved it (placing her hands around him).

Olarotimi: you're a dangerous woman, birthday girl.

Yetunde: too dangerous to resist (then she kissed him while I held her).

Olarotimi: now, let's get you some water.

Though they were in a relationship but sex wasn't part and they have been dating for six months now.

          It was on a beautiful morning he proposed to her asking her to marry him ,it was very special indeed.

Yetunde: yes, I will marry you(with wet eyes as he wore the ring on her).

Olarotimi: thank you so much ( hugging her happily).

Yetunde: I love you.

Olarotimi: I love you too.

Yetunde: so, you made it special(smiling).

Olarotimi: I guess we did my love(smiling).
