I'm so glad to announce that I'm slowly gaining back my motivation to draw guys! Very slowly, but still! I dunno why I lost motivation to began with, but I think it has something to do with my style (which hasn't really changed tbh) and how I was going about drawing it. It probably didn't help that I was stressing about school, about a relationship that had ended (I won't talk about it in this chapter), and taking in way too many art requests/doing too many prizes for contest winners. For the next contest, I'll definitely be holding off on doing too many prizes.

Anyways, now on to the part you guys have been waiting for!

"You're not a monster, Jake, I promise!"

"... Mavis, I wish I could believe you right now."

So this drawing was a redraw of the picture below. I think I drew the original sometime in 2017/2018h. Both drawings are of the same Alternate Universe, except the original only had Mavis. In this AU, Camilla flat out cheats on Maxwell when they both fail to produce another child, and she ends up getting pregnant with Shadow's kids. She ends up giving birth to twin children, Jake and Mavis, and abandons them where she last remembers Shadow living (thankfully he still lived there) so he was forced to raise them all on his own. Both children are the same age as Mavis is in the cannon universe, as they were born in the year 2000. There's not too much else to say about this alternate universe ATM.

This one is yet again another redraw. It's a tiny bit more sexualized than the original, I won't lie, but I actually really like the soft appearance it has. And I gave Todd a tiny color change. If you're wondering why I went this route with the redraw, it has something to do with what I wrote in the first art book to describe the original.

Here is the original! This was drawn sometime 2017/2018 as well.

So, I was scrolling through Pinterest and happened upon this image. (I was scrolling through looking for some easy to use base to practice a new shading technique on) I ended up really, really liking the vibes it gave me and I, as you do, decided to draw baby versions of the Jake and Mavis twins from the previous drawing. I wasn't originally going to post this, as I don't like to show that I do occasionally use a base for easy going drawings, but I actually really like the final product, even if Jake's hair shading is off. If the original artist happens to see this drawing, I will happily take it down.

And finally a short comic redraw. The original was with Shadow and Mavis, and everything about it was cringe inducing, so I decided to replace Shadow with Summer and Mavis with a toddler Jake. I know LiliandSnowC wanted to see more of Jake as a b a b y so this is probably considered some form of fan service lol.

(And yes, I am aware I forgot his little stripe in his hair. S h u t  u p)

And here is the original. I actually know I drew this in 8th grade because I remember a friend of mine was watching me draw this. So this was also around 2017/2018.
