I opened my eyes as I rocked back and forth in a wooden rocking chair. Everything was calm and peaceful. I saw a beautiful forest with deer, birds and rabbits in it. I noticed that there were no walls to the Glade, and there was no Maze. Just freedom. A deer was running into the forest when I leaned my head back expecting a head rest behind me. Suddenly I fell straight to the ground and bumped the back of my head on a hard surface. I reached for the back of my head, and sat up. Apparently, the rocking chair had disappeared.

"That was a bad fall, love. Need a hand?" I heard a familiar voice, and I spun around to see Newt sitting on a rock behind me, as he held out his hand. I took it and he pulled me close to his chest, as I stumbled to my feet. He leaned in and kissed me on my lips. For a few moments I thought I was in heaven, well if there is one. We parted as a wide smile stretched across my face.

" Why are you smiling like that?" Newt asked me, as a smile came around to him as well.

"Because" I started " we're not in the Glade any more. And there's no Maze to run through." I said before I savored the next few moments to myself, looking around us above the trees. When I turned back to Newt his smile had faded, and all that was left was a deep frown upon his face. His eyes narrowed at me like I had done something wrong. He lifted his hand to in between my elbow and my shoulder, as he tightened his grasp.

" Newt, whats the matter did I- Ow!" I exclaimed as he squeezed my arm harder.

" No" He paused " We are never going to escape the Maze. It has us trapped and we will never get out!" He yelled. Why was he doing this? He certainly knew that we could make it if we tried.

No Newt. You know that we will make it! Why are you acting like this? Don't you love me?" I said. His expression changed from harmfull to harmless, but he did not let go of my arm.

" I do love you. I just want to protect you from everything in the Maze. If there was no Maze, then the grievers would be every were. Don't you get it?" His expression changed back to the ' I hate you and you should die ' glare

" I've always hated you and you should know it." He said. This was the weirdest conversation I had ever had with Newt.

" I think you should wake up now" Newt said in a know it all voice.

Warning: if you do not like gory scenes then PLEASE do NOT read this paragraph!

But before I had time to reply to that strange line, something pierced through my back as pain shot through my body. I looked down to see that whatever it was that had collided with me had gone strait through me. It looked like a burnt stick that had been sharpened to a fine point. Blood gushed out of the wound as the tip curled up into a hook shape and forcefully slid me out of Newts grasp.

Newt waved goodbye to me and sneered. This was insane! What was happening to me!? Newt turned and walked away as the hook-thing dragged me into the surrounding forest. If I thought that the forest was peaceful, oh Glade was I wrong. The pretty bird songs that played through the woods turned into crows crackles. The undergrowth became thicker and light from the sun didn't seem to ever exist in here, it was as dark as night. Maybe even darker! As the hook-thing dragged me through the forest, the pain grew. Before long it was getting harder and harder to breath.

The hook-thing finally stopped and pulled itself forcefully out of my stomach as it leaned me against a tree. I stared out into the distance as if I was dreaming an endless dream. I heard rustling in a bush in front of me. After a few moments of silence, even from the birds, out came a rabbit and a buck. But, these were no ordinary creatures, the rabbit was the size of a person and the buck was the size of a small hut. They both stood still and looked strait into my eyes as if they could look strait down into my soul. Suddenly the rabbit began to morph. It let out a terrible shriek and turned into a human. Its veins bulged out of its neck and its blood ran blue. It had sharp teeth and claws were its nails should be. It stood up and steeped toward me holding out his claws and opening his mouth wide.

He launched himself at me, as I prepared to defend myself. He landed onto of me as his hands clawed my neck, just like my night in the Maze. I scratched his arm but before he had time to scream out in pain something behind him threw him to the side like a feather. I looked from the person to what was behind him. It was my worst fear, a Griever. I couldn't move as if a hidden force prevented me from running away. It advanced on me as a tear ran down the side of my cheek. Its tail was above its machanical body as the tip of a long seringe became visable from the center of it.

Before I had time to realise what was happening, the tail tip entered my chest. My vision became fuzzy I started seeing red dots in my vision as the poison was injected into my blood stream.....

Sorry for the wait every one! I was transitioning from my grandmas house and my parents, hope you all like it!
