Y/n's pov: It was 2 am and I couldn't sleep. I was too excited about what would happen in less than a day. I finally get to meet Ruel! I have grown close to him and we are really good friends but it sucks because I like him more than that but long distance relationships never work out.
I get to finally feel him and hug him instead of dreaming about it. Hear his voice in person. Not just his talking voice but I will hear him sing. This is all a dream come true! Thinking about him makes me want to text him

i pressed the button to go to my home screen and then i turned it off. i plugged in my charger that made it light up and expose my lockscreen which was a screenshot from mine and ruel's first facetime. i get to see that face in real life.
i smiled to myself at the thought of him as i turned on my side slightly hugging my pillow. i shut my eyes and was fast asleep. before i knew it i woke up to my alarm.
i sat up immediately knowing what was going to happen. i got ready with my morning routine and ended it with meeting my mom in the kitchen.
"this will be a fun trip won't it? i need to get lots of pictures to show my facebook!" i nodded with a grin while pouring myself cereal. "and you can meet kate that's ruel's mom. i have talked to her on facetime and she seems very sweet" i sit on the counter talking to my mom.
"can't wait. be ready in 30 to leave" she lightly hit my leg giving me a smile. i cleaned my dishes and went back to my room to get dressed.

I brought my bags for the trip and loaded them into the car. Ruel and I had planned to meet at a park for a picnic with our families. I pulled out my phone to see where this boy was.
I didn't bother putting in headphones or anything as I pressed the icon to facetime him. It rang until the screen showed his face. I smiled widely.
"Hey ruelio are you there yet?" I asked. "Yeah we're here just setting up we brought food so I hope you and your mum are hungry" his comment made me giggle even though it wasn't super funny.
"Ahhh I am so close this is unreal! I will see you in less than 10 okay?" He gave a thumbs up as a response. "Okay bye weirdo" I hung up on him before pulling a funny face.
"This is exciting how are you feeling" my mom spoke as we got into the car. "Very nervous actually but excited" she began to smile and nudge my arm. "Someone has a crush oooo" my mom teased. "Mommmm stoppp" I nudged her back playfully.
As we pulled into the parking lot, the 6'4 boy stood out like a sore thumb. My mom parked and we got out of the car. I called out his name to get his attention and it worked.
I ran straight into his arms as he hugged me tight and lifted me off the ground. I held him close not wanting to let go but I had to. "Its actually you! Holy shit!" He held me by my shoulders as we stared into each other's eyes. "Its you! Like what? The ruel van dijk is right in front of me"
he let go of me but put an arm around my shoulder. He showed me where his family was. "Oh ruel, this is my mother, mom this is ruel" they exchanged smiles and 'nice to meet you's. he showed us his family sitting down at a table under a ramada.
His mom walked up to us with a warming smile. "Y/n oh my god! Now I get to meet you in person" Kate opened her arms for a hug that I wouldn't reject. Before I could my mom introduced herself to Kate.
As she did so ruel took my hand to take me to his other family members. "Dad this is y/n, y/n this is my dad ralph" i shook his hand and he seemed very friendly. Then to his sisters who were actually stunning.
"Y/n wow you are very pretty! I'm coco by the way and this is sylvie" sylvie waved at me while coco gave me a hug. "Your family is so beautiful" i look up at ruel while standing in front of his sisters.
"Let's go sit" he still held on to my hand taking me to the table farthest from everyone else. "Oh are you hungry?" He asked me pointing to the food. I shook my head and said, "I can eat later I want to be with you right now" he smiled at my comment.
"Want to be alone?" I whisper to him. "Yeah actually I do" he said in a normal tone. "Mom we're going on a walk where I usually go" I shout at my mom so she can hear me she gave me a thumbs up and a nod in approval.
"Come on" I took his hand this time and began walking. "Where are we going" he asked while still holding my hand. "Over that hill so they dont stare at us" I giggle and he laughs too.
We went over the hill and I sat down under a tree I normally sit at. He sat down after me. "I dont want to sound like a creep but you look beautiful" I looked down and blushed. "That's very sweet and you look very nice" i reply with.
I stare at his facial features and his hair which has me in awe. I adore him I really do. He looked back at me. He looked behind him and reached to grab something. He picked up a flower and proceeded to put it behind my ear.
His hand moved slowly down to my jawline as the tension built up. He leaned in very slowly but I wanted it so I leaned in to reach his lips faster. Our lips moved with eachother and his hand was on my cheeck now.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and he pulled away. "I didn't think you would let me do that" he chuckled and put his hands on mine to bring them down from his shoulders.
"I have liked you for a long time ruel I thought it was so obvious. I mean it was I guess boys really are oblivious" I joke. He held my hands in his and rubbed his thumb over my hand.
"Can you sing for me" I look him in the eyes to ask. A big smile played on his lips as he nodded. "Yeah I have this song stuck in my head it's by harry styles so of course it's a good song and I know you love it"
he began to sing adore you and I started to love him even more somehow. The emotions that portray through his voice is unbelievable. The voice of an absolute angel.
