new kid

You and your friends are hanging out until you are chosen to show the new kid around at school who ends up being your best friend and possibly your boyfriend.

I got off the bus and ran into my friend's arms. They always wait for me and it was always a welcoming feeling. My friend group consisted of 3 girls. They are called Ariana Holmes, Heidi Smith, and Jessica Durazo.

In our friend group we call them Ari, Heids, and Jess. We walked into the school building walking each other to our lockers. We walked to jess's because it was closer to the entrance.

i stood there with a smile on my face with my friends. "Y/N Y/L/N please come to the front office thank you" i heard over the intercom. "Oh great what do they need for me now" I groaned. "Dont worry y/n you'll live" jess said closing her locker.

I parted from my friends and walked to the office. As I enter I am met with the principal Mr. Green. "Good morning y/n this is ruel hes a new student here and we thought you would be a good person to show him around and help out. What do you say huh?" Mr. Green shared a large smile.

I looked over at the tall boy standing next to Mr. Green looking back down at me. "Okay sure" I smiled and nodded. "Great! I'll have you know y/n is a great young lady you two will get along just fine. So here is your schedule ruel and have a great day"

I opened the door and walked out with ruel following me. I turned around to look at him. "Can I see?" I pointed to the schedule. "Oh yeah " he handed it to me. "Okay your locker is right next to mine so let's go there"

"Okay cool. So y/n do you like this school?" he asked. "Its not the best school but everyone is so different and that's what I like about it. I mean yeah sure we have the bitchy girls and the douchey guys but who doesn't?"

we get to our lockers and we put our stuff in. "okay we have the exact same schedule so let's go to first period" I begin to walk in the direction. "You are really nice you know that?" He walks to the side of me and smiles.

"Thank you. And you are really tall you know that?" I looked up at him. "Yes I'm half Dutch us dutch people are tall as fuck" he laughed. "I can see that. So ruel tell me a bit about yourself" I asked as i realized he wasnt so bad.

"I like to sing and make music, I like basketball, and surfing" "That sounds really cool" I genuinely speak. "What about you?" "I like instruments. Ukelele, piano, acoustic guitar ya know. And I like writing"

He smiled at me before we stepped in the classroom. It was our spanish class. In the classroom the teacher was very laid back. She had no chairs and tables but she had bean bags and couches. I went to take a seat on the couch while the teacher Ms. Leslie approached us.

"Good morning Y/n who's your friend here?" She asked referring to Ruel. "My name is Ruel. Ruel Van Dijk" he introduced himself. "Hi Ruel my name is Ms. Leslie. Just sit tight and go along with everything. If you don't understand y/n will help right y/n?" I nodded to her.

Ruel sat down next to me. We were assigned to review our notes for a test we have tomorrow and help each other study. "Okay ask me what things mean or tell me to say it in Spanish of anything in this notebook" I handed him the notebook.

After Spanish we had a free period. "I'm going to go see my friends you can come with" I let him know. "Alright sure but will they like me?" "They'll like you as long as you dont hit on them right away, ask for nudes, or call them anything but their names. So don't be an asshole or a douche got it?" "Yep"

I walked outside and found the table that we always sat at. The girls were there already. I took Ruel's hand and walked faster to them. "Y/n got herself a man? Hmmm" Ari teased. "Nooo she didn't unfortunately but that's not the point. This is Ruel. Ruel this is Jess, Ari, and Heids." "Nice to meet you all" he said before we both sat down.

I looked over at Heids as she leaned into Ari and whispered in her ear. "So we're keeping secrets now" I said to break the silence. "Yeah at least tell me I'm sitting right next to you" Jess turned to Ari. Then Ari told Jess in her ear. "I was thinking the same thing! I totally see it" Jess said out loud.

"Tell me?" I asked timidly. They looked at me with grins on their faces. "Well it's no secret but we thought you two would make a cute couple" Jess blurted out. Ari hit her arm indicating she wasn't supposed to say that. I immediately blushed and I looked at Ruel who was blushing too.

"See you're blushing!" Heids pointed at us with a big smile. "Shhh" I shush them trying not to blush. "What do you think about this Ruel" Ari asked. "Um well I think that y/n is very pretty but she definitely deserves better than me" I felt my cheeks heat up more.

Oh no I cant be falling for him already...
