Thirdy
I've been standing outside of the elevator in my condo for almost 10 minutes now, waiting for an empty one to avoid embarrassing myself. I am currently staring at my shoes and focusing on my balance, trying my best to pretend that I am sober. Few mutuals have seen me at the lobby- congratulating me for the championship and MVP award, I just flashed a timid smile and said thank you. My head is beating nonstop, my vision is kinda fuzzy and it's getting harder and harder for me to keep myself together. This is what I get for downing a bottle of wine at 6 in the evening, it's just 8 pm and I'm already wasted.
"Ah finally" I whispered to myself once I spotted an empty elevator. I was waiting for it to close while standing at the right corner staring at the buttons and focusing on my floor number when a woman entered. I didn't even look up to see her because I am feeling extremely dizzy and it feels like my head was being hammered. I lifted my right hand to press my floor number supported with my left for precision but my drunk ass can't do it.
"Thirds, let me do it for you" the woman blurted and pressed my floor. She didn't even need to ask me what it was.
It was Bea, am I that drunk that I see her in other people? I might have been staring at the woman that she stared back at me and asked "What?"
Ding!
"Sorry, I just thought you're Bea. Thank you for helping me" I said as I was about to leave the elevator. I was surprised that she stopped at the same floor as mine.
"You apologized because you thought I am me? Wine-drunk Thirdy is helpless" She blurted and let out a chuckle.
"Wait. W-what are you doing......here?"
"You know, you talk so slow when you're drunk"
"Is this a scam? You're not Bea right? No please I don't have money I left my wallet inside my car" I said while internally panicking.
"The heck Thirds ano ba? I'm Bea" She said as she held both my shoulders. The way she held me felt too familiar that's why I calmed down.
"Why are you here?"
"Someone told me you need help with the elevator. Give me your keys"
When we both got inside my flat, I immediately went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Dehydration and confusion is not a good combination for me. After downing my glass of water, I sighed, Why is she here? She doesn't care about me I just shrugged my thoughts then went to my living room. I found her there, sitting on my couch and staring at me.
"Are you okay? Do you need anything?" She asked me.
"I'm good Bea. I'll just change my clothes and sleep this off."
"Okay, I'll order you dinner. Mama Lou said you didn't eat dinner daw"
"You don't have to. Please lock the door if you're leaving na. Thank you ulit sa help." I smiled then went to my room. Thinking that she'd leave my loft, I don't want to think that she still actually care for me. Baka pinakiusapan lang s'ya ni Mama Lou to look out for me. I'm good now and settled on my bed, she'll leave na soon. She wouldn't waste her time for me.
Bea
I sighed when Thirdy closed his door. I am scared. I'm scared because I fucked up and he's not mad at me. I can work with his anger because that means he still cares but now it seems like he gave up on us. I wanted to fix this, but he's avoiding me, i think. I can't get a hold of him for the past few days because he's everywhere. He just won his last UAAP championship recently and he's invited to different interviews and events. He's barely home, andami nilang parties na pinupuntahan with the team.
