Tharn couldn't fall asleep. The moment Type decided to walk out the door was when the reality hit him in the face. He had hurt Type, his one and only ally in this marriage. He wanted to run after him but another part of his heart stopped him.
The thing that got him mad was what stopped him. It felt weirder the more he thought about it. One moment he helplessly needed Type in his arms. He didn't wish any distance between them. But the next thing he felt burning fire from the pit of his stomach crawled all over his body when he saw Type was having a cozy time with his cousin, Lhong.
They bantered like normal friends but something stirred in him. Tharn didn't like any of that sight. He chose to possessively snaked his arms around Type and had him going home with him.
He was busy thinking the storms of alien things inside him along their way home. His mind was so occupied of what he should do of these feelings.
He felt anything but peace. His mind and heart were in turmoil. He didn't want to lash out towards Type and decided to sleep somewhere else.
But Type misunderstood things and got himself out of Tharn's sight. Tharn was even hurting because he could not bring himself facing Type. Not when his heart hadn't settled yet. Not when he was confused as hell and being all weird.
Tharn tossed and turned since he couldn't find the right position to sleep. He remembered he got the best sleep lately because there was Type next to him. Type subconsciously made himself as Tharn safe haven.
Tharn sighed and made his way out of the bed. He gave up having sleep by himself. Even if he was yet to figured things out and dealt with these confusing feelings, he would do it while having Type by his side.
He opened all rooms that were on the second floor. Tharn couldn't find the figure he wished to see. Every time he opened the door and found no Type, his heart sank deeper. He would eventually go insane if he still couldn't find Type in the last room he got.
Tharn held his breath as he swung the door slowly. He found himself closed his eyes because the next thing he did was opening his eyes when the door was widely opened.
He relieved a heavy breath when he found Type's figure curling on the farther side of the bed from his standing. Type was having his back facing the bedroom door. Tharn walked closer to the sleeping Type.
When he had stood in front of Type, Tharn bent down and made himself on his knees. The room was dark, only the poor lighting that came from the balcony was illuminating Type's face. In the poor lighting, Tharn studied Type's sleeping face.
He recognized trails of drying tears in Type's face. Tharn felt like someone had just kicked him hard in the stomach. It hurt to see Type shed tears because of him. No, Type crying would be the last thing he wanted to see in this universe.
The light reflected the glistening tears that wettened Type's long lashes. Tharn dared himself to softly touch Type's closing lids. The other guy squirmed in his sleep when Tharn had his thumb against the skin under Type's eyes.
Tharn had just confirmed that Type was crying before he felt asleep. Perhaps Type was falling asleep while crying. His heart ached even more thinking about that.
Tears started to swim into his eyes. His was vision slowly getting blurry. "I'm sorry.." Tharn held his sobs as he rubbed his thumb softly against Type's cheek. He knew Type must have been blaming himself. He must have felt responsible for anything Tharn was feeling a while ago.
It should have been Tharn's fault. He was so lost in his confusing mind and heart that he even hurt Type subconsciously.
Tharn could keep his sobbing unheard no more. Soft sniffing and hitched breaths slowly woke Type's up.
