someone is screaming. i run through the somewhat abandoned looking home, making my way to what i realise is crying. the basement?
as i cautiously walk down the stairs, i can hear who it is. "lexi?" i whisper, as i see her in what looks like a hurricane shelter, standing over.. oh my fuck..
LYLAH
then it clicked.
"mommy, come back to me mommy..." lexi cries.
no.
fucking.
way.

she's gone.
my love.
my angel.
lylah.
i'll never get to propose, i'll never be able to say 'i do.' never will we have a child together.
we'll never have a child.
ever
but then there's lexi.
lexi, lylah's daughter.
i don't know how. i wish i didn't run.
i wish i didn't run away from them.
lylah. lexi.
i ran until i found finneas.
he hugged me
he smelt.. normal.
comforting.
he asked what was wrong.
i told him. "lylah's dead."
he was shocked.
i'm so numb.
but
i hope lexi is okay, i just left her there.
i ran.
here i have
my notebook. my best friend.
i write to lylah in my notebook.
maybe she knows what i'm saying.
i hope she does.
@$)&#@*$^@$* dear lylah #$^$^$(#(%*$
our time is up
your eyes are shut
i wont get to tell you what
i needed you to know
it's dark enough
the moonlight doesn't show
and all my love
could never bring you home
and i'd love to let you go
i'd love to let you go
you're all that's on my mind
and i've called a thousand times
and i have to let you go
but i love you more and more than you could know
more and more
and more
and
more
than you could know

i can't live without lylah.

29 days ago i saved my mommy's life. i don't know why, but billie just left. i thought she'd try and help. or at least come back with help.
i don't know how to use or charge mommy's phone. mommy misses billie. i know she does.
she can't live without her.
