Another day with new chances. I was going to meet some new people. Decorate my room more. Simply, just be happy.

It is now 2pm and I have been lying in bed all day watching movies.

I decided to get up and explore the neighborhood. I went downstairs and decided to make some cookies for the neighbors.

2 hours later, the chocolate chip cookies were finally done cooking and I quickly changed out of my pyjamas into a more casual outfit (see picture). I put on a bit of make up and walked downstairs, grabbing the cookies and went outside. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day.

I walked to the house to the right and knocked on the door. An old lady opened the door.

"Um Hi, my name is Lily and I moved in next door"

"Lily. That is a beautiful name. I once knew somebody with the name Lily and she was really beautiful, just like you and my daughter used to babysit her and.. I'm sorry. That had nothing to do with it, you know how elderly people are. They keep on talking about something else" she said and laughed. I couldn't help but laugh as well. She was right.

"I baked some cookies" I said and gave them to her.

"Oh come on in darling, then we can eat them together" she said and walked inside. I just followed her.

The walls were full with pictures of her children, when they were young. It looked like they took a family photo every year. I quickly glanced at them and then I saw that in one picture, the girl was missing. What happened to her? In the pictures she seemed really happy and as the woman said, really beautiful.

The woman looked at me, she knew that I knew.

"She got in a terrible accident" she just said and walked towards the kitchen.

"Tea?" she asked.

"Yeah that's fine"

I continued walking along the corridor, looking at the pictures. Ever since the girl disappeared, everybody looked more and more sad on the pictures. Especially the father.

A few photos, years, later the father disappeared as well. Maybe he killed himself because his child was gone. Or he had a disease.

I walked back to the kitchen and saw that the tea was ready. I walked with the cookies and tea in my hand.

"Do you like the neighbourhood?" She asked while I sat down.

"Well I haven't really explored it. You are actually the first person I know"

"I feel very special" she said and smiled.

After that it was silent, a bit awkward and after I finished my tea, I suggested that I would go home again.

"It was lovely meeting you Lily"

"Same for you" I said and stood up.

"I'll let myself out" I said so she didn't have to walk along through the corridor.

She nodded and I walked outside.

I walked back home to get more cookies and then off to my other neighbour.

I rang the doorbell and after some time, a little boy opened the door. He had really cute black curls and pink cheeks. I crouched down so we were at the same eye level.

"Hello. I just moved in next door and I made cookies," I said and pointed at them, "do you want one?"

He nodded and I gave him the cookie.

"Don't tell anyone you've already had one" I said and he giggled.

"Who left the door open again? Lucky could escape!" Someone yelled and walked towards the door.
