We had stopped in a Waffle House parking lot to catch up on sleep for a while. I woke up before Harry so I ran inside to grab breakfast for us.

"Hi, welcome to Waffle House. For here or to go?" the old lady had asked me. She seemed like she was in her late 60s with her gray-white hair and wrinkles spread throughout her face. She resembled my mother almost too much, it creeped me out.

"Ma'am?" she spoke again, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Um hi... um... to go, please," I stuttered, still distracted by the resemblance to my mother.

"Alright, what would you like to eat?" she slowed her words down, probably assuming I had issues or something.

"I'll just have 2 number 6's, please," I paused to think of what Harry would want to drink, "and 2 orange juices." I looked at her name tag to check if I would recognize the name.

'Melissa B.' it read.

My last name was Bloomington so I considered whether or not to ask her about it. I decided against it for it'd be fairly creepy, so I took a seat on a stool facing the window.

My view of Harry was absolutely perfect from here. I could see his head still resting on the pillow we set on the middle counsel to share, his messy hair falling all over it.

I always wanted to run away with someone that I love and get away from everything in my life, especially my mother. I guess part of that dream was coming true, but I just wasn't sure whether or not Harry and I would 'fall in love.' I knew that love was just a big concept of bullshit, so love wasn't really a thing for me. Maybe we would become best friends and date or whatever, but I didn't ever think that Harry nor I were capable of loving, and maybe we aren't.

"Here's your food, ma'am," the old lady said as she set the boxes of food in front of me. She hesitated for a second before walking away.

"What?" is what came out of my mouth before my mind had completely processed what had just happened.

She turned around and stared at me for a solid 10 seconds with a confused look on her face. "Are... are you Mason?" she said with a weak voice, tears beginning to stream down her face.

"Maybe.. why?" I began to back away, creeped out as to why she would know my name. Before I could get out the door, I felt her fragile body wrap around mine along with her silent sobs hitting me in ways that crying never had before; I began crying.
