Lena Luthor did not remember much about her childhood, after moving in with the Luthor’s. However, she remembered a rather large part of those years before her mother passed away. Her grandfather made a large impact on her life. He was not able to take her after her mother passed but he gave those memories to her in letters that began to magically appear at L-Corp, once he passed. She remembers of that time when her grandfather woke her up at two o’clock in the morning to help decorate the living room for her mother’s birthday. When she was two, he took her fishing and she ended up crying so much…. Her fish she caught died. She gave him a proper burial in her shoe box and named him, Tiny. At the age of three, he taught her how to lead in a dance, which caused his ankle to get sprained…. But it was worth it to the grandfather. The final year he got with her, he got her to do something he could never get his daughter to do, he taught her how to be independent. How to honor herself even though she may feel weak at times. He might have not seen her after Lionel Luthor took her into his care, but nobody made an impact like he did. He taught her to never stand behind a man. He taught her to be independent and strong. If a guy was worthy of her attention he would have to earn it. He would have to be held to the highest of high standards and not give a crap about how independent she is. Though a lot happened those years since then, Lena never forgot what kind of woman she was meant to be. Nobody could change that. Nobody could take that teaching away. He made her value herself and for that she will always be thankful for her grandfather. However, she began to hate herself because she did not see him in over twenty years. She missed out on a lot but she knew he would always be watching over her. That he would protect her from the bad parts of being a Luthor. From the kidnapping and the people turning against her, he would protect her. He would make sure that nobody ruined his raven haired ray of sunshine. Tears slipped down her cheek at the thought of him officially being in Heaven, watching her be this strong independent woman that he helped her become. She grabbed her pen and wrote on the last piece of paper and wrote for him, though he would not ever see it. ‘Thank you for everything that you have done for me. I am sorry I haven’t seen you since Mom died but my love hasn’t left grandpa. I will always love you more than anybody else. Always and Forever. - Lele’
